The African Research Institute conducted a nationwide opinion survey which found that 98.7% of the population supports Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 (CAB3). This position was also evident during the public hearings held across the country. From Mutare to Plumtree, and Beitbridge to Chirundu, as well as in urban centres such as Harare and Bulawayo, citizens voiced clear and consistent endorsement of the Bill. With regard to CAB3, the public spoke with one voice during the hearings. Participants expressed strong support for the proposed legal and governance framework, describing it as a positive step forward. Nonetheless, a small group of opposition politicians, including @TendaiBiti and his CDF political outfit, @ProfMadhuku, @advocatemahere, and others, have voiced opposition to the Bill. Their position reflects a minority view. The overwhelming majority of Zimbabweans support CAB3, and this broad backing is unlikely to be derailed by dissenting voices. Zimbabwe is a constitutional democracy founded on the principle of majority rule. This means that governance decisions require the endorsement of the majority of the population, while minority positions are often outweighed by the prevailing views of the majority. #CAB3BHOOOO #ED2030BHOOOOO

The 90 day Public Consultation on the Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment (No. 3) Bill ends today. Parliament of Zimbabwe received more than 300 000 submissions from Zimbabweans, with an OVERWHELMING MAJORITY in FULL SUPPORT of the Bill. Others support some clauses & have reservations on others. And there is a minority rejecting the Bill in toto. Democracy can never be better than that!

I didn't want to comment much about this, but I am so fascinated by the remarks being made here. I have seen people making the same excuses for opposition lawyers who represent corrupt ZANU PF people in court, saying it's their job. Honestly, with this kind of thinking and behavior, we will have ZANU PF in power for quite some time. ZANU PF is an enemy of the people, and we should treat it as such. Malaba was one of the most instrumental people in prolonging ZANU PF’s stay in power; he wasn't professional and was evil. What is there to celebrate for a person like that? If this reasoning is sincere, then one of these days I want to see "Sisi" Fadzi representing Sengezo Tshabangu in court because it’s her profession. Let’s not perpetuate rubbish. Zimbabwe is not a normal democracy where people coexist despite their political differences. Zimbabwe is a war zone; you can't be seen dining with the same people you are fighting in the name of professionalism.

Another reason to support CAB3🔥🔥 All the problems you see around you are OPPORTUNITIES…. @GeoPomonaZW took the opportunity of managing Solid Waste in Zimbabwe… In doing so, they solved MANY PROBLEMS (diseases, environmental degradation) & created 1200 Jobs. President @edmnangagwa didn’t hesitate to support this MUCH NEEDED PROJECT. When Zimbabweans focus on fixing problems, a lot will be done. The ANTI-CAB3 Coalition is in disarray. For some, being ANTI-CAB3 was a last ditch attempt to resurrect their political careers. @BitiTendai thought he had an opportunity to be relevant but it wasn’t the case. If anything, he exposed his lack of political clout. @DMwonzora tried his luck, but he quickly suffered exhaustion & went back into his cocoon. @ProfMadhuku entered the scene with a typical Madhuku Strategy, but there were no buyers… He remains where he has always been. @PacheduZW thought they were the Masters of Social Media communications, but they quickly realised that the horses have bolted. One of their veterans @freemanchari is now turning to AI in an attempt to discredit the numerous pro-CAB3 folks on X. @LynneStactia & @mawarirej backed by @CdeKnoxChivero came with their tired insults & smear campaigns but they couldn’t move the needle. If anything, they came to realise that their favourite horse is no longer a LIMPING HORSE, it’s now a CRIPPLED HORSE. The MAJOR REASON for the failure of the ANTI-CAB3 Coalition is that they found very difficult to argue against COMMON SENSE. CAB3 is a Common Sense Bill & no sane person would reject its progressive clauses. In fact, all the people I mentioned in this post once said something in support of what’s now in CAB3… it means their opposition is OUT OF HABIT, nothing else. For the Pro-CAB3 team, this was a VERY EASY mission because President @edmnangagwa created all the necessary conditions… ✅ZiG inflation is at historic lows ✅Loadshedding is now history, it’s more than 120 days with no loadshedding in Zimbabwe. ✅ZiG exchange rate is stable. ✅ZiG notes were upgraded. ✅Economic Growth is at record highs!
