I get trash talked every single day building Arcade. “This is just content spam at scale.” “This is just going to flood the market with garbage.” “Lowering the technical barrier to game creation will just create more slop.” We’ve heard this before. Before platforms like YouTube, creating a TV show required a full team, a significant budget, a strong concept, and most importantly, access to a broadcasting network. Distribution was tightly controlled. Today, anyone can pull out their phone, press record, and instantly reach billions of people. Yes, it led to an explosion of low-quality content, lowering the barrier doesn’t magically make someone creative or a great creator. But it also unlocked something much bigger: a new generation of creators, entirely new formats, a new economy, and an insane amount of high-quality content across every niche imaginable. Lowering the barrier to entry doesn’t just increase noise. It expands the surface area for creativity. And when that expands, you don’t just get more content, you get more breakthroughs. That’s the part critics always miss. Every major creative leap starts with an explosion of volume. @joinarcadeai is doing the same thing for video games. We’re not just making it easier to create games. We’re unlocking millions of new creators, billions of players, and with them, entirely new genres, ideas, and experiences that simply couldn’t exist before. That’s how the future of creation actually happens.

I created my own VFX tool using AI for my #vibejam game. This is VERY important to make the game feel polished. The best part is that I can now create whatever VFX I want and have it in the game with just a click of a button.
