I've enjoyed it on this forum, but it's time to quit the Twit. If you care what I think in 140 characters or more, drop me a line and we can have a chat! Adios.

‘Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?’ ‘I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut’. Two inspiring and intriguing verses from #morningprayer today. What new thing might God be doing today? #LMP @CofEGuildford

What's the unacknowledged addiction that consistently wounds the church? A thread...

The irony of reading a @guardian article on #Manston and the advert for Dream beds popping up. We have shops full of empty beds, and immigrants are sleeping on the floor.

As a naturally disorganized person, working hard at strategies like zero inbox is so helpful. Getting control of emails can never be underrated in its positive impact on mental health. If you're starting out in ministry, take some time to establish good patterns.

@JamesChristieB If it takes 2 mins do it now, treat email like post, get dates in the diary immediately, gather teams to work on things, delegate, take power hours, say no... Mostly from the Productivity Ninja guys, whose work is so helpful. What would you add?

A privilege to be preparing for next term’s #LMP NT Studies module today. Fancy going deeper into the NT? Why not sign up, or come along and audit? @CofEGuildford

@ajdbond I haven't read it, but my point is more about the way that church culture can totally unknowingly prevent people from pursuing a faith journey. Even cultures we see as healthy and positive

In this season, I wonder if the Holy Spirit is trying to smash us out of mistaking culture for church

@WillBriggs Thoughts stimulated by a helpfully provocative journal article by a guy called David Anthony: the Oikos and the Wineskins. I think people who are drawn to faith are often heavily deterred by church culture, a place they never think they could belong

Love this! “For those who are just starting, or don’t feel it yet, all you need to do is prepare Him room in your heart; in your head; in your life. If you make room, He will fill it”.

@owenmorgan @DuncanHollands Owen - it's a great starter question for some good liturgical / exegetical discussion. We have to be ok to grapple with the Bible.

@DuncanHollands I have drawn a some conclusions in a follow up post. I was consciously provocative but I am slightly alarmed that fewer people don’t feel at least a tad uncomfortable saying certain things out loud that are violent in nature.
