This is abusive @jeremycockrill. Ask those hamstringed by a lack of funding to help you "make a case" against teachers.Those same trustees who have had to make serious cuts year after year. Arguably, cuts that have caused irreversable damage to S's learning?! @SaskTeachersFed

Two weeks from today, the new provincial budget will deliver the largest ever increase in school operating funding and a record new commitment to address classroom size and complexity. Today, I am taking the unusual step of announcing part of the education budget prior to budget day, to clearly demonstrate our commitment to address teachers’ concerns around classroom supports. In light of these significant new commitments, I am asking the STF to pause their job action so that teachers and students can return to their classrooms, and the teachers’ union can return to the bargaining table.

Thank you Heidi! Teachers across Canada are facing challenges around increasing class complexity, lack of supports for students, and deteriorating working conditions. It has been promising to see other provinces negotiate with teachers on these big issues. Solidarity!

Class complexity is impacted by increasing numbers of students who require additional supports, which include additional language supports, counselling, reading and speech interventions or other learning needs. Class complexity isn't only 'behavioural incidents'.
