Children’s education is not suffering because teachers are on strike. Children’s education is suffering from years of underfunding, undervaluing and lack of understanding of how stretched schools are. It’s not self serving, not greedy, it’s wanting better for the children.

“I don’t get why teachers are leaving the profession. They knew what they were signing up for.” NO, THEY DIDN’T!

Yesterday we listened to the traditional tale 'The Runaway Pancake' and sequenced the events in the correct order. Today we were retelling the story, using our own words, to help us write about it. 👵🏼🐶🐰🐱🦆🐐🦊 🐷🥞

The West Lothian Rally is absolutely packed! Teachers do not want to be here, & would much rather be in class working to support young people’s education – but, have been compelled to take strike action by the inaction of the SG & COSLA on pay. Members are not going to back down.

@wlmurrayfieldps We had great fun making these and the children used fantastic listening skills. 👂🏼 We were also lucky to play a Christmas game with Mrs Geddes afterwards. 🎉
