So here it is: King Edward VIII Falls, photographed from the ground for the first time since 1935. If you're reading this post, you are now on an extremely short of people who have ever seen this place, in photographs or otherwise. S. Bracewell, P.A. Forte, myself, my team, and you.

There are a couple physical AI companies that imo are just starting their uptrends with some pretty decent upside over the next few years. Going to write about what I'm looking at shortly, and I'm open to your suggestions as well if you have them. Feel free to share AI started as software, but now AI in entering the stage of having hands, arms, and eyes Robotics is essentially going to solve for some parts of a 55-60T annual problem. Which is labor. These robots will have an upfront cost, but over the lifetime of them might only cost around $2 per labor hour vs the average of $40 or so in the US. While we are a bit early to robotics companies going public, we can still buy the "bottlenecks" of many of these that are going to be supplying all the parts to build them.

@MichaelGuimarin @avidseries The is likely it. Indians make terrible neighbors and don’t create community at all. They’re largely economic mercenaries, but they should still have the right to be here

The Goths (actual barbarian warlord kings) would forbid their boys from schooling bc they thought it feminized them, and explicitly cite "fear of the whip". Meanwhile VB Knives "masculinity" is about getting beaten by the schoolmaster

Guys complain about "feminized" society, but in a "masculinized" society you get hit a lot. Your dad whips you with a belt, the teachers at school can hit you, other males can hit you and nothing happens, the Sgt. at bootcamp can beat you, etc.

@_10delta_ Invoking Thucydides is necessary bc Western elites are clueless about Chinese history or relevant analogues

Chinese strategic thought has been running on Western OS since 1921. CCP itself is originally "Marxist-Leninist". The "socialism with Chinese characteristics" is just an euphemism for "hyper-capitalist fascism". Now Xi is invoking Thucydides.. At least try to reach for Eastern analogues? Perhaps, he doesn't, because they cut against China's preferred narrative. The Warring States arc terminates in Qin's brutal Legalist unification. Sun Tzu's "win without fighting" describes what the US has been doing to China since 2018 (controlling chokepoints, sanctions, alliance deterrence system, the LNG dollar architecture). The Mandate of Heaven implies a moral cosmos that can be lost, which is precisely the sort of implication Xi cannot afford domestically. The Eastern frames are worse for China's positioning, not better. Western thought runs deeper in China than most believe.

Random hungover dumb thought of the day: The most lucrative untapped consumer market right now is a line of shoes that helps men lie about their height to get laid. Before the angry comments start flooding in I am 6” and don’t date American women. I just hate seeing clear untapped market needs every time I go out to party. Height-fraud is the logical next step after Reta solves body fat, hair loss is close to being solved, the female population has become height obsessed and Gen Z in general is clearly becoming hyper aware of the benefits of hypergamy + looksmaxxing. There is currently one brand on Amazon that sells this kind of thing (Calto) at crazy markups when there should be fifty. You can spam instagram and TikTok and sellout overnight. And I’m not talking about just inserting a sole to add an inch I’m talking about deconstructing the shoe to make something that adds four inches without sacrificing comfort or being obvious. Which is much more easily done for men. Someone go make a lot of money making men’s heels or whatever 🫡

See paragraph 1 of his tweet: “The accompanied assignment was a 2 page hand written paper on the negative effects of racism and segregation in 1960s America.” Not of the movie. Of the movies connection to those themes. For him to fail so thoroughly to grasp that isn’t going to fly in APUSH classes. You don’t get participation trophies just for having an opinion.

When I took APUSH in high school we spent 1/2 a week watching this move in class. The accompanied assignment was a 2 page hand written paper on the negative effects of racism and segregation in 1960s America. Out of curiosity, I did my own reserach into Katherine Johnson (MC of the movie) and found interviews where she described her experience. When asked if she felt segregation at NASA she said she didn't and that everyone was so mission oriented that nobody really cared about race at all. The "white only" restrooms at NASA actually weren't marked at all and she was using those bathrooms for her entire tenure there. The iconic scene of her throwing a temper tantrum about walking for an hour to use the "colored's room" was entirely fake, the rant about using a coffee pot that none of the Whites would touch was entirely fake. Jim Parson's character, the racist/sexist antagonist was entirely fake. Kevin Costner's classic progressive, anti-racist, meritocratic boomer character was also fake. After learning all this, I wrote a paper how the movie portrayed NASA as a deeply racist and destructive place, saved by an uppity black woman screaming and crying about racism. That this portrayl was actually significantly more racist than the reality which was NASA being incredibly professional, where racism was an after thought, and the Black woman actually usurped all racist stereotypes and was renown for her calm professionalism and exceptional work. I was given a C and was given a 1-on-1 scolding in office hours after class.

Peak Obama era slop. A nightmarish glimpse into the world that awaited us until Trump stepped off the golden escalator to save America. It’s such a narcissistic and sinister idea - “every one of your cultural accomplishments was actually done by fa sassy black women”
