ہمارے ادارے،عدالتیں اور سرکاری لوگ عمران خان کو سمجھ ہی نہیں سکے، وہ سمجھتے بھی کیسے؟؟ وہ یہ سوچ بھی نہیں سکتے تھے ۔ جب وہ وزیراعظم تھا تو اُس کے بنی گالا والے گھر کا بجلی کا بل دو لاکھ اسی ہزار آگیا تو اُس نے خود فون کرکے ایس ڈی او کو بلا کر کہا کہ ” بل بہت زیادہ آگیا ہے،اس کی قسطیں کردیں“ ایس ڈی او حیران تھا کہ یہ وزیراعظم پاکستان ہے اور ذاتی گھر کے بجلی کے بل کی قسطیں کروا رہا ہے،دراصل سرکاری لوگوں نے ایسا وزیراعظم دیکھا ہی نہیں تھاکیونکہ یہاں تو وزیراعظم ایسی باتیں کرتے ہی نہیں تھے ، یہاں تو حکم ہی کچھ اور ہوتا تھا۔

UAE was hit by more than two thousand eight hundred Iranian missiles and drones during the war. Emirati civilian commentary on PM Sharif’s ceasefire post asked openly where Pakistan stood. UAE law prohibits public criticism of allies. The criticism cleared. Abu Dhabi shifted from annual rollovers to monthly extensions in early 2026. Then Abu Dhabi pulled the deposit entirely in the same week Pakistan delivered the Pakistani-mediated Hormuz framework that Iran tabled and the Trump administration is reviewing today. Saudi Arabia covered the gap inside seven days. The September 17, 2025 Saudi-Pakistan Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement supplied the political architecture. Field Marshal Asim Munir supplied the operational glue. CPEC supplied the long-term Chinese financial floor underneath both Gulf positions. Pakistan absorbed the financial cost of a regional realignment in real time while operating as the broker on both sides of the war. The structural fact underneath the headlines has not been named anywhere this week. For approximately three decades, sovereign deposits between Gulf monarchies and aligned emerging markets functioned as balance-of-payments support. Ideologically neutral. Rolled over annually because rollover was the norm. Egypt, Jordan, Bahrain, Sudan, Lebanon, the Maldives, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan all hold portions of their reserve stack in Gulf deposits because Gulf deposits were considered patient capital indifferent to the recipient’s foreign policy as long as it stayed inside broad Sunni alignment. The 2017 Qatar blockade weaponized trade and airspace. The 2022 Saudi support to Egypt was endorsement of Sisi, not a vote on policy. The 2024 UAE Ras El-Hekma deal with Egypt was thirty-five billion dollars of foreign investment, not a referendum. None of those previous moves used the deposit instrument itself as a binary vote. April 2026 did. UAE pulled its deposit because Pakistan chose neutrality over alignment. Saudi Arabia replaced the deposit because Saudi Arabia endorsed Pakistan’s neutrality. Two Gulf sovereigns voted opposite ways on a third country’s foreign policy through the same financial instrument in the same week on the same balance sheet. That is the new pattern, observed once. The deposits stopped being financial. The deposits became referenda. If the precedent holds, every Gulf deposit on every emerging-market balance sheet now reads as a contingent political instrument. Egypt’s reserves carry contingency. Sri Lanka’s. Jordan’s. Sudan’s. The Maldives. Bahrain. Lebanon. The frame falsifies if Egypt and Jordan see their next Gulf rollovers proceed routinely without conditionality, or if UAE issues a public statement reframing the recall as commercial liquidity rather than political signal. Until then, the instrument changed before anyone recorded the change. Pakistan was paid twice in April. Once for what it did. Once for what it refused to do. The accounting balanced.
