🎉 More exciting news this week! #IamAPHRC is committed to transforming lives in Africa through research, including through strategic collaboration with partners. 🤝 Recognizing the importance of evidence-informed policymaking and innovation in public service delivery, the Center this week signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kenya’s State Department for Public Service and Human Capital Development to strengthen research, knowledge management systems, capacity development, and innovation, while enhancing efficiency, accountability, and responsiveness in public service delivery. 🤝 APHRC also signed an MoU with the Institute for Meteorological Training and Research (IMTR–Nairobi) to jointly advance research, data integration, early warning systems, and policy engagement at the intersection of climate change, environmental sustainability, and population health. This collaboration responds to the growing need for integrated climate–health evidence and stronger research capacity in Africa. 🤝 Lastly, APHRC and University of Toronto signed an MoU to promote collaborative research, academic exchange, research excellence, and capacity building. By the time they arrived in town, the tout had escaped without giving her the 900 bob change. She confronted the driver, and he told her arrogantly and with impunity, “Fanya kenye unaweza taka.” In the CBD, Along Lithuli Road, the lady picked up a sizeable projectile and smashed the nganya’s windscreen. I’m very proud of her. She should be protected at all costs. These makangas should respect people’s money no matter how small.
