As part of the ongoing Neuroimaging Project, communities from Dagoretti and Korogocho came together for a series of sensitization sessions. These sessions explored the importance of responsive caregiving for early learning, the critical role of fathers in early childhood development, and key insights emerging after three rounds of data collection. The engagements also provided fathers with a unique opportunity to visit the Neuroimaging Center, interact with the research team, and gain a firsthand understanding of how the MRI technology works. The value of partnership lies in what it makes possible that neither side could do alone. That's the idea behind APHRC’s new five-year partnership with @fraycollege of Communications. Together, we're working to strengthen the ways African researchers, communicators, and practitioners share their work, so that evidence moves beyond academic journals and into parliaments, ministries, and public debate. This will be done through cohort-based fellowships that equip researchers with structured training in science communication, advocacy, and policy engagement. #IamAPHRC paid a courtesy call to the @gender_ke , where the team met the Principal Secretary, Anne Wang'ombe, the Gender Secretary, and the Director of Gender to explore collaboration on gender-responsive policies and programs. Discussions centered on policy development, guidelines, research, and emerging opportunities within the menstrual economy, with a shared focus on using evidence to strengthen interventions that improve the lives of women and girls.
