@cdaly72 The Uffizi is fantastic! Well worth paying for a small group tour - I did that with my niece and it was great.

I had the best time at the Uffizi Gallery today. I'm glad I paid extra for a small group tour as I learnt so much from the fabulous guide, Bruce! It was also lovely to meet such lovely people on the tour, all from the US (Chicago, New York and New Jersey).

@cusackandrew There used to be the sort of crummy hotels on Cromwell Road you find in Elizabeth Taylor novels - half pay majors in the dining room etc.

I've always thought London should some sort of non-academic residential colleges: For people of all ages, but mostly young professionals, some almshouse flats for the retired, some family accommodation, a chapel, a dining hall, a library, a bar.

@louderry Edward Stourton is one of the only serious broadcasters remaining in the BBC stable. Courteous, insightful questioning, he engages with his interviewees & listens to their reply and the follow up question is always pertinent. Jeremy Bowen is also head & shoulders above the rest.

Can anyone recommend a politics show in the UK where the public can actually listen to the guests answers instead of the presenter constantly trying to pick a fight?
