We strongly condemn the so-called “Conference on the Future of Karachi” convened at Governor House Sindh with hand-picked individuals, where divisive ideas regarding Sindh’s unity were reportedly entertained. Such engineered gatherings cannot decide the destiny of our historic homeland. Sindh’s strength lies in unity. Sindhi, Urdu, Gujarati, Pashto and all communities living on this land share a common future here. Division is not development, it is destabilisation. We firmly reject Governor Tessori’s divisive posture and take serious note of similar narratives now surfacing around the proposed 28th Constitutional Amendment. Let it be clearly understood: whether such thinking emerges from coalition partners in the guise of PPP or from any other power centre, Sindh is not negotiable. Playing with the emotions of Sindh’s people will only generate resistance. Sindh United Party stands unwavering in defending Sindh’s geographical integrity and its resources. We will continue to expose both external designs and internal facilitators. If circumstances demand, we will respond collectively with disciplined and democratic resistance.
