@michaelbd Wasn't Vance supposedly a voice for a larger Iran action? I've heard so many versions that I don't know what is correct.

@TomlinsonCJ @roddreher If he loses, Hungary will look more like Poland and less like Belarus.
English

I’ll be somewhat saddened if Orban loses tomorrow but I can understand if he does.
The Hungarian economy has suffered greatly since COVID. massive inflation both during Covid and due to the war in Ukraine has hurt regular Hungarians. The EU hasn’t helped by purposely withholding billions of euros that could help relieve that.
The EU will release those funds if Peter Magyar wins, no doubt. Ukraine will also stop trying to harm Hungary as well most likely.
So from the perspective of the average Hungarian I get it. They just want to prosper in their own country and get a break.

@JonahDispatch Who is talking about 100MM
The number I hear is that Biden let about 15MM into the country.
English

It's not irrelevant when the Solicitor General cannot provide a remotely compelling argument for why a future president couldn't make it retroactive. Also, when you have various jabroneys in MAGA land talking about deporting 100 million people, I will happily defend my concerns in this regard.
The Gringo Lawyer@gringoathome
@JonahDispatch Reliance is irrelevant so long as any change is prospective. Anything retroactive would be immediately problematic under a dozen different legal principles.

@Ben_Dennis_ @SConcern3 @EWErickson There is nothing in the text of the passage to indicate that Deborah ruled unwisely, unjustly, or did not follow God's direction. Neither did she cease to judge after the battle.
The shame was on Barak for being afraid to lead militarily.
English

@SConcern3 @EWErickson Deborah was 100% an imprecation on Israel. Are you a fool?
English

@JasonHornbuckle @sunnyright It's weird, like why a grocery store would oppose a 100% county sales tax.
English

@sunnyright All tariffs are paid by Americans, which is why other countries oppose them so strongly. They just care about our citizens
English

Because one is an embargo against a foreign country and the other is a tax collected from American importers. Tariffs are not paid by Spain, they’re paid by Joe Smith when his shipment from Spain arrives. We historically care more about taxes on Americans on principle.
bumbadum@bumbadum14
It's so funny that according to the Supreme Court he can cut off trade with Spain but cannot tariff them by 10%.
English

I am sure this will have no adverse consequences at all!
I mean, it worked great in Afghanistan and Iraq, so...

@Logic_n_Data @astraiaintel A team of competent aerospace engineers could have retrofitted them in a year. The enrichment is 99% of the effort.
English

@astraiaintel Ukraine never had nuclear weapons that they owned. Those weapons belonged to Russia who removed them.
English

@NeilShenvi That was a long time ago. Biblical truth has changed a lot since then.
English

@alisa_childers The post had the context:
"Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul."
English

@NatePyle79 1. Who is not treating foreigners like that verse?
2. What verse did he quote re: the MN church attack?
English

@hunterbaker @elonmusk Non-citizen already can't vote for UK parliament. I think this may be suggesting that foreigners who gain citizenship couldn't vote.
English

Bravo!
It’s a sign of how crazy these days are that this even needs to be said!

@BobTheBaptist I think that Ortlund underestimates his reach within those who are willing to turn a blind eye to the moral corruption of the Democratic party.
English

@BobTheBaptist I think a lot of people understand the positives of the Trump presidency. Particularly, the first term culmination in Dobbs.
However, I don't see transactional loyalty as a reason to give excuses or silence when my conscience compeels speech for something I see as wrong.

UPDATE 👀: After detaining these men, generating national headlines about a broom/shovel attack, detaining one of the defendant's partners and separating them from their 1 year old son, the Trump admin drops the charges citing "newls discovered evidence." storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.usco…

@Schneider_CM They gotta have big balls to do that. Not as big as the ski jumpers, though.
English

@michaelbd Needs to fire Vance. A preening poser whose only debate tactic is schoolmarming.
English

My latest:
Before we resign ourselves to three years of Donald J. Bush, can we at least see if Donald J. Trump, the host of The Apprentice, is in there somewhere? Isn’t it time to start firing some people? nationalreview.com/2026/02/midnig…

@AustinRyan83905 @JoshDaws Yeah, we just need to be "flexible" on that.

@JoshDaws Just remember - mean things are the worst,
actually murdering and dismembering children - meh.

@johnvezzi @timkellernyc @albertmohler They will, but it would be false. Words have meaning.

@timkellernyc As a great man once said> @albertmohler if you support traditional marriage (amongst a bevy of other things traditional)
You will be called a Christian nationalist.
