I congratulate my friend and brother, @AlikoDangote, on the remarkable achievement of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery reaching its full 650,000 barrels per day capacity.
More importantly, it is transformational for Nigeria and Africa. Supplying up to 75 million litres of PMS daily changes our energy narrative and conserving foreign exchangez
With domestic refining now firmly underway after decades of reliance on imports, pressure on the foreign exchange market should ease significantly. I am optimistic that the naira will strengthen meaningfully, and trading below ₦1,000/$1 before year-end is increasingly within reach.
Aliko is not stopping here. He has embarked on an additional $12 billion expansion to increase refining capacity to 1.4 million barrels per day, alongside 2.4 million tons of polypropylene and 400,000 metric tons of Linear Alkyl Benzene for detergent production. Work has already commenced in earnest.
Congratulations once again, my brother. Nigeria is proud of you 🏭🙌🏾… F.Ote💲

PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES ALHAJA LATEEFAT GBAJABIAMILA ON HER HONORARY DOCTORATE AWARD BY SUMMIT UNIVERSITY, OFFA
President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Lateefat Olufunke Gbajabiamila, a distinguished nonagenarian, trailblazer, and matriarch of the Lateef Gbajabiamila family of Lagos, on her conferment of the honorary Doctor of Science (D.Sc. Honoris Causa) in Business Administration by Summit University, Offa, Kwara State.
In a statement by Bayo Onanuga Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, "the President joins family, friends, and well-wishers in celebrating the 96-year-old United Kingdom–trained nurse, who blazed a trail in Nigeria’s public service as the first female elected executive chairman of a local government in Lagos State."
It adds, President Tinubu notes with profound admiration that Alhaja Gbajabiamila’s life represents resilience, professional excellence and community service. President Tinubu commends Summit University for recognising her pioneering contributions to the Nursing profession and for naming its proposed College of Nursing in her honour, a fitting tribute to her lifelong passion for healthcare delivery and human development.
“The naming of the Lateefat Gbajabiamila College of Nursing ensures that Mama Gbaja’s legacy of compassion, discipline, and service will continue to inspire future generations of caregivers and leaders,” the President says.
President Tinubu salutes Alhaja Gbajabiamila for her steadfast devotion to her faith and community through the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, and for raising a family whose members have continued to distinguish themselves in public service, most notably her son, Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to the President and former Speaker of the House of Representatives.
While rejoicing with her family on this momentous occasion sets for Saturday in Lagos, President Tinubu prays that Almighty Allah will continue to bless Alhaja Lateefat Gbajabiamila with good health and the abiding joy of witnessing the fruits of her lifelong labour for humanity. It concludes.
It was a delight to meet with President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu @officialABAT, GCFR, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Our discussions centred on accelerating Ekiti’s socio-economic development and contributing significantly to nation building.
I appreciate the President’s unwavering interest in the progress of our state and look forward to deepening our collaboration for the benefit of our people.
On this special day, I celebrate you, the woman who steadies me when I stagger, the love that has weathered every storm. You have been my calm in chaos, my anchor in the tide, my miracle in motion. Through time and through distance, you have stood as my balance and my blessing.
Happy birthday, my dearest wife. I would choose you in this life and in every life to come. Still, always, and forever. ❤️
Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un
I mourn the passing of an elder statesman, Professor Jibril Aminu, who died in the early hours of today at the age of 85.
He was an icon in our country's academic, diplomatic and political spheres.
INNA LILLAHI WA INNA ILAYHI RAJI’UN
With total submission to the will of Allah (SWT) and gratitude for a life of impact and service, we announce the passing of our beloved Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Brother, Friend, and a Prince of Iru Kingdom — Prince Musiliu Olanrewaju Ajasa
Christian Chukwu : An enduring legacy
The sudden passing of the legendary Christian Chukwu, former captain and head coach of the Super Eagles, has come as a rude shock to me.
As one of Nigeria’s Patriots , Christian Chukwu creatively used the game of football as a unifying force for us as individuals and the nation in general. His footballing career as the captain and subsequently coach of the national team remain legendary and fully etched in the annals of our national history.
Back in 2019, when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer that affected his legs, I stepped in with the necessary support so as to enable him receive comprehensive care and medical treatment in the United Kingdom. Thankfully, that intervention and opportunity saw him through a very challenging time and gave him a new lease of life.
My condolences go out to his entire family and to his fans all over the world. May you all find comfort during this difficult time.
May his soul rest in peace.
I have just been alerted of a situation involving mostly Nigerian passengers left stranded at Lome, Togo, by @airfrance. I am told that the flight from Paris bound for Abuja could not land due to the bad weather in Abuja this evening. The flight then diverted to Lome. However, the confounding situation now is that instead of bringing the passengers back to Abuja after the storm subsided, there are plans to leave them in Lome till tomorrow, even when that same flight will return to Abuja tonight to pick passengers.
After directing my Director of Air Transport management to call the country Manager of @airfrance, I also personally called @AirFranceNG a few minutes ago and insisted that those passengers must be brought back to Abuja tonight or be treated in line with best international standards if they must sleep in Lome.
The new Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation Dr Kayode Opeifa, has averted a looming workers strike that would have paralyzed train services on the five train networks across the country.

Today is my fifty-first birthday. Thank God for sparing my life to see this day. I was often beset with ill health as a child and teenager. Many thought I would not live this long. But here I still am, by the grace of God.
God could have chosen any country for me to come from, and He chose Nigeria. Therefore, my life must add value to Nigeria.
So, please consider doing something for Nigeria as a birthday present to me. Could you kindly find a foreign-made good or service you currently use and think about replacing it with a made-in-Nigeria alternative? Doing that will expand Nigeria's Gross Product and improve the value of the Naira, and that is something so close to my heart.
Thank you for all your birthday wishes and prayers, and may God bless Nigeria.
