Elon Musk is doubling down on his criticisms against Christopher Nolan’s #TheOdyssey, claiming the director’s diverse casting choices were made to meet #Oscars eligibility requirements.
“Who specifically is the asshole who added DEI lies to Academy Awards eligibility instead of it just being about making the best movie?” he asked. “Chris Nolan desecrated ‘The Odyssey’ so that he would be eligible for an Academy Award.”

I’ve seen multiple people say everyone thought Brad Pitt as Achilles was a bad idea.
I don’t remember anyone saying that. Brad Pitt was coming off of Fight Club, Snatch, and Ocean’s Eleven. He was pretty much the coolest guy in the world playing one of the coolest characters

@NolanAnalyst I know we’re not still pushing that Oppenheimer was only huge cause of Barbie bullshit lol Barbenheimer can account for maybe 100 of its 975 million. Regardless, Interstellar made 775 in 2014 money (that’s 1.08B today). The Odyssey hits 900 at least.

Yes, $700 million at the box office for THE ODYSSEY would already be a major success. The film would likely break even at around $600 million.

The only Nolan films that hit a billion are the one based on a massive IP and the one caught in a once in a lifetime cultural phenomenon, it’s unfair to set that bar for him, with all the controversy $700m would be a massive success for the odyssey
