Bhopal dowry death : "Twisha was on schizophrenic drugs, we failed to save her." - Mother-in-law, retired judge Giribala Singh

Police had locked the terrace. I said my plants will die. You do your work. But for me, every plant is a living entity. And I have to save them: Giribala Singh, mother-in-law of deceased Twisha Sharma.

VIDEO | Twisha Sharma Death Case: During a press conference, Twisha Sharma’s father Navnidhi Sharma says, “Please focus on the judicial process. Justice is not being delivered because these are very influential people. Yesterday, even the police admitted in court that these people are highly influential and should not be granted bail. On that basis, the son’s bail was cancelled, yet another accused is roaming around freely after getting anticipatory bail. At the same time, the deceased girl is being openly blamed and defamed. This in itself is a legal offence. The media should take cognisance of this on its own. Before asking such questions, think ten times about what the victim’s family must be going through when her character is being assassinated in this manner.” (Full video available on PTI Videos - ptivideos.com)

Maximum Temperatures (as on 26-04-2026): Maximum temperatures are in the range of 40-46℃ over most parts of the country except western Himalayan region, northeast Bihar, northeast India, where they are below 36℃. The highest maximum temperature of 46.9°C was reported at #Akola (VIDARBHA).

The tragedy in Chhattisgarh is deeply painful. 20 families have lost everything. Proper compensation, livelihood support for the families, and a thorough investigation are non-negotiable. But naming Shri @AnilAgarwal_Ved Ji in the FIR before any investigation raises serious concerns. He is a self-made man from a humble and backward community background who built a global enterprise from scratch. He had no role in that plant's operations. When accidents happen in PSU plants or Railways, do we name the Chairman? We do not. The same standard must apply to the private sector too. Investigate first. Establish responsibility based on evidence. Then act. India's #ViksitBharat vision needs people like Shri Anil Agarwal to keep investing and building. That happens only when investors trust the system. 🇮🇳

Shocker from the National Capital Serving Indian Army Brigadier and his son assaulted after they objected to public drinking outside their residence. ➤ Charge: 7-8 men attack Brigadier & son. ➤ Charge: PCR van present, didn't act. ➤ Army takes cognizance of the incident. ➤ After outrage, F.I.R. filed. @shreyadhoundial, @scribesoldier & @priyanktripathi share more details.

SHAMEFUL CONDUCT BY DELHI POLICE Last night (11 April), at around 10:00 PM, a serving Brigadier’s family encountered two individuals consuming alcohol inside their car (Regn No. DL3CCY 0789) near their residence in Vasant Enclave. Upon objecting to this act of illegal public drinking, the situation escalated. The individuals called for additional support, and soon 7–8 more men arrived in multiple vehicles. These men proceeded to assault the Brigadier’s son, causing significant injuries, and also manhandled the Brigadier himself. Despite a call to the Police Helpline (112) and a PCR vehicle (ZBR39A, Mobile No. 9311923339) being dispatched to the spot, no effective action was taken by the police personnel present. The assault occurred in full view of the PCR van, yet no intervention was made. Following the incident, the family approached Vasant Vihar Police Station to lodge an FIR. However, their complaint was not registered, and they were also denied immediate medical assistance. Eventually, the injured were taken to the Military Hospital for treatment. A written complaint has since been submitted, but the lack of timely police action—both at the scene and at the police station—raises serious concerns. This incident demands urgent attention and accountability. Strict action must be taken against those involved in illegal public drinking, organized assault, and the apparent negligence of duty by the police personnel present. @adgpi @westerncomd_IA @PMOIndia @HMOIndia @AmitShah @CMODelhi @gupta_rekha @DelhiPolice @CrimeBranchDP @Ravindra_IPS @CPDelhi @BJP4Delhi @INCDelhi @AamAadmiParty @republic @Republic_Bharat @IndiaToday @ZeeNews @ZeeNewsEnglish @RShivshankar @jugalrp @SandeepUnnithan @sardesairajdeep
