A 4-day specialized training program on Finance for officers of the Employees' State Insurance Corporation was inaugurated today at the National Communications Academy–Finance. The program designed after Training Need Analysis with National Training Academy of ESIC aims to deepen financial acumen and enhance administrative effectiveness. The program brings together 27 officers from across the Northern region for an immersive and engaging exploration of relevant financial management practices. A webinar on “Contract Management in Public Sector” was successfully conducted today by National Communications Academy–Finance (NCA-F) for officials of the DoT and DoP. The session was delivered by Dr. Mandeep Singh, DDG (TAR), NCA-F, whose insightful and engaging presentation brought valuable clarity to the complexities of contract management in the public sector. Drawing upon his extensive expertise and practical experience, Dr. Singh highlighted key challenges faced by government officers and shared actionable strategies to manage contracts with greater efficiency, accountability, and confidence. The webinar emphasized the crucial role of contracts in public administration, noting that every contract in the public sector represents a commitment made on behalf of citizens. Participants explored how contracts support vital functions such as telecom infrastructure development, IT modernization, logistics, consultancy services, and other operational activities within DoT and DoP. The discussion underscored that effective contract management goes far beyond awarding a tender and requires continuous oversight throughout the entire lifecycle. During the session, participants were guided through the complete contract lifecycle—from drafting and award to execution, monitoring, and closure. The National Communications Academy – Finance (NCA-F) is conducting a Specialized Training Programme on Finance for Medical Superintendents & Regional Directors of Employees State Insurance Corporation, in collaboration with the National Training Academy (NTA), ESIC on 11–12 March 2026. The program exemplifies institutional collaboration in capacity building. The Training Need Analysis was undertaken jointly with NTA, ESIC, ensuring that the curriculum aligns with the operational financial management requirements of the organisation. The modules have been co-developed by NCA-F and NTA, while the NCA-F campus provides the academic environment and institutional infrastructure necessary to facilitate meaningful knowledge exchange between financial specialists and medical administrators. The program will be delivered by faculty from NCA-F, NTA, AJNIFM & other organizations. The training addresses critical domains including Standards of Financial Propriety, ESIC Financial Systems, Internal and External Audit Mechanisms, Procurement of Goods & Services with case studies, Budgeting practices, Banking principles, and Financial Control, with the objective of reinforcing fiscal discipline and sound public financial management in the health administration ecosystem. The week long training program on Digital Forensics, Cyber Security and Fraud Investigation concluded successfully at the National Communications Academy–Finance (NCA-F), capping a rigorous and intellectually enriching week. The program engaged 64 Officer Trainees of ICAS, IDAS, IP&TAFS and IRMS(A) in focused sessions on Cyber Security architecture, Digital Forensics, Forensic Accounting, Fraud Detection and emerging regulatory challenges. Distinguished subject matter experts including Ms. Sai Amutha, Addl Secretary (SR) Cabinet Secretariat; Sh. Archit Verma, Forensic Consultant, Pinaca Technologies; and Prof. Anjali Kaushik, Chairperson – Centre for Digital Economy, Cryptocurrencies & Cyber Security added depth and practical insight to the sessions.
