Eco-friendly Infrastructure at ECL: Designed by CMPDI. Construction and Commissioning of Rapid Loading System with Silos of 12.0 MTY as part of First Mile Connectivity Programme of Ministry of Coal, Govt. of India has changed the way of transportation of coal in Sonepur-Bazari OCP, one of the mega mines of ECL. The conveying system with Silo (integrated with the rapid loading system) has been designed by CMPDI. NCL’ Nigahi OCP awarded with the best Open Cast Mine (Large) in Mine Safety Award-2024 NCL’s Nigahi OCP has been bestowed with 1st prize in the Large Open Cast Mines category at the Mines Safety Award 2024 held in Kolkata on Sunday. Mine Safety Awards 2024 were organized by the All India Mines Safety Association (AIMSA) under the aegis of DGMS and hosted by Coal India Limited. DG, DGMS Shri Prabhat Kumar, Chairman Coal India Limited Shri P M Prasad, CMD, Directors, Senior officials from Coal, Metal, and Oil Mine sector companies, and officials of DGMS graced the ceremony. During the Mine Safety Award 2024, CMD NCL Shri B. Sairam, Director (Technical/Operations) Shri Jitendra Malik, Director (Technical/Project and Planning) Shri Sunil Prasad Singh, Area GM Nigahi Shri Ashutosh Dwivedi, GM/HOD(Safety) NCL Shri Rajendra Verma, received the award from NCL Side. 45 Mines from the opencast & underground Coal, Metal, and Oil & Gas sectors under the Large, Medium, and Small categories were awarded for safety in the Mine Safety Award 2024. CMD, FDs, and CVO, NCL have congratulated the team NCL for the achievement and expressed hope that the company will continue to touch new heights on every horizon.

एनसीएल की अंतर्क्षेत्रीय टेबल टेनिस प्रतियोगिता वर्ष 2024-25 हुई संपन्न प्रतियोगिता में टीम झिंगुरदा ने मारी बाज़ी, मुख्यालय रहा रनर अप रविवार को नॉर्दर्न कोलफील्ड्स लिमिटेड(एनसीएल) के खड़िया क्षेत्र में आयोजित तीन दिवसीय अंतर्क्षेत्रीय टेबल टेनिस प्रतियोगिता 2024-25 का समापन हुआ। इस प्रतियोगिता में टीम चैंपियनशिप, एकल, युगल, वरिष्ठ वर्ग, सुपर वरिष्ठ वर्ष, महिला वर्ग इत्यादि श्रेणियों में मैच खेले गए । प्रतियोगिता में पुरुष व महिला श्रेणी में कुल 140 खिलाड़ियों ने भाग लिया। प्रतियोगिता के समापन समारोह में महाप्रबंधक (खड़िया) श्री एम के अग्रवाल, उपमहाप्रबंधक(कार्मिक) श्री राजेश चौधरी, एनसीएल के जेसीसी सदस्य, परियोजना के विभागाध्यक्ष, एनसीएल स्पोर्ट्स प्रमोशन बोर्ड के सदस्य, श्रमिक संघ के प्रतिनिधि तथा अन्य अधिकारी व कर्मचारीगण उपस्थित रहे । इस प्रतियोगिता में एनसीएल की विभिन्न परियोजनाओं व इकाइयों से 13 टीमों ने भाग लिया। टीम चैंपियनशिप में झिंगुरदा परियोजना की टीम ने खिताब अपने नाम किया तथा मुख्यालय की टीम द्वितीय स्थान पर रही। टीम चैंपियनशिप के रोमांचक फाइनल मुकाबले में झींगुरदा क्षेत्र की टीम ने मुख्यालय की टीम को 3-2 से हरा कर विजेता होने का गौरव प्राप्त किया । एकल प्रतियोगिता(पुरुष) में श्री निर्मल मिश्रा (झिंगुरदा) प्रथम व श्री मिराज अहमद (मुख्यालय) द्वितीय वहीं महिला वर्ग(एकल) में श्रीमती प्रिया स्वरूप (खड़िया) प्रथम व श्रीमती इन्दु बाला (मुख्यालय) से द्वितीय स्थान पर रहीं। युगल प्रतियोगिता (पुरुष वर्ग) में श्री रजत मलिक व श्री निर्मल सिंह की टीम विजेता बनी। महिला वर्ग में श्रीमती इन्दु बाला एवं श्रीमती प्रिया स्वरूप की टीम ने डबल्स का ख़िताब अपने नाम किया । वही वरिष्ठ वर्ग में (45 वर्ष से अधिक) की एकल प्रतियोगिता में श्री एमके पांडे(दूधीचुआ) प्रथम रहे। वरिष्ठ वर्ग (युगल) में श्री एमके पांडे तथा श्री नौशाद आलम की टीम ने बाज़ी मारी। सुपर वरिष्ठ वर्ग(55 वर्ष से अधिक आयु) में एकल प्रतियोगिता में श्री एमपी सिंह (ब्लॉक बी) प्रथम व श्री के पी शर्मा (मुख्यालय) द्वितीय रहे। #MyNCL

Environmental Monitoring by CMPDI. 👉At CMPDI, we're dedicated to ensuring that mining at Coal India Limited (CIL) mines is conducted responsibly, with minimal environmental impact. We meticulously monitor and safeguard our natural surroundings: 👉Air Quality Monitoring: CMPDI monitors air quality around mining areas to assess emissions of particulate matter (PM10, PM2.5), sulphur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), and other pollutants. Continuous monitoring stations and periodic sampling are used to analyze air quality data. 👉Water Quality Monitoring: Monitoring of surface water bodies, groundwater, and discharge points from mines is conducted to assess parameters such as pH levels, turbidity, dissolved oxygen (DO) etc., ensuring that water resources are not contaminated by mining activities. 👉Soil Quality Monitoring: Assessment of soil quality involves monitoring parameters such as soil pH, organic matter content, nutrient levels, and presence of contaminants like heavy metals. 👉Noise Monitoring: CMPDI measures noise levels generated by mining operations to assess their impact on nearby communities and wildlife. 👉Land Reclamation Monitoring: Monitoring of land reclamation efforts ensures that mined-out areas are restored to their original or an equivalent productive state. CMPDI assesses the success of reclamation activities by monitoring vegetation growth, soil stabilization, and water management in reclaimed areas. 👉Ecological Monitoring: CMPDI conducts ecological surveys to assess biodiversity and habitat quality in and around mining areas. This includes monitoring flora and fauna diversity, population trends of endangered species. NCL's Inter Area Table Tennis Championship 2024 begins at NCL Khadia Area. On Friday NCL's Inter Area Table Tennis Championship 2024 commenced with great fervour and enthusiasm at the Officers Club, NCL Khadia Area. More than 140 players from all Areas and Units are taking part in the 3 day (26th July to 28th July) event for singles, doubles and team championship. Smt. Nivedita Gupta IPS, SP Singrauli graced the inaugural ceremony as chief guest. Sh Manoj Kumar Agrawal Area General Manager Khadia, Staff officers, Trade Union representatives, CMOAI General Secretary, Sports promotion board members and other dignitaries also remain present during the inaugural ceremony Smt.Nivedita, in her address eulogised the NCL's working culture and acknowledged the contribution of better halfs of the employees for indirect contribution in meeting the energy security of nation by helping their spouse & keep them free from responsibilities of home & children. She, appreciated the NCL management for organising such events and conveyed best wishes to players and management for achieving their coal production target.

BRICS ROUNDTABLE ON GEOLOGY 👉Shri Achyut Ghatak, Director (Technical/RD&T), CMPDI; Shri Syamantak Chatterjee, Sr. Manager (Geology), CMPDI and Shri Arijit Saha, Sr. Manager (Geology), CMPDI are part of the Indian delegation team that was led by Shri V.L.Kantha Rao, Secretary (Mines), Ministry of Mines, Govt of India that attended the BRICS ROUNDTABLE ON GEOLOGY (First Meeting of the Heads of Geological services) conference, organised by Russia Federation from 15-17th July in Moscow, Russia.The meeting was attended by Heads of Geological services of BRICS countries like Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, Ethiopia and Iran. 👉 The delegation also attended Bilateral meetings with Senior Representatives of Russian Companies on 18th July, 2024. 👉Shri V. L. Kantha Rao in the said meetings appraised the following proposals from India: 👉Invitation to other countries for Exploration of critical minerals at India and rewarding programs for encouraging the industries for investment in india. 👉Joint project in Exploration and Mining in Critical Elements. Angular Drill Machine. 👉CMPDI, RI-VI, Singrauli has recommended for introduction of Angular Drill machine of 311 mm diameter for drilling and blasting in Dragline benches for OB removal. 👉 Subsequently, Bina Opencast Project of Northern Coalfields Ltd. has first time commissioned Angular Drill machine of 311 mm diameter, which can drill at an angle of 5°, 10°, 15° and 20° from vertical. 👉This machine is being used for drilling in OB benches above bottom most Turra seam where Dragline is deployed for removing the blasted material. 👉This newly commissioned Drill machine will reduce toe formation which in turn will lead to better fragmentation and casting in the Dragline benches. 👉 This will improve the overall productivity of Dragline and also reduce wear and tear of Dragline. @kishanreddybjp @satishdubeyy @CoalMinistry @CoalIndiaHQ @BCCLofficial @CCLRanchi @easterncoal @mahanadicoal @NCL_SINGRAULI @secl_cil @TeamWCL @nlcindialimited @PRO_SCCL @PIB_Coal @PIB_India
