@northernassist There's clearly nothing you can do but on Saturday many intending users couldn't even get aboard overcrowded 2 car trains on the Hope Valley line between Sheffield and Manchester. Today's solution of not running any trains at all is a classic!

@northernassist @hopheaddarrell It's a generic issue that must be known. I reported it at Dore & Totley over a month ago. The description narrative should scroll along to explain more about the train crash/crew shortage/crisis. I saw a group of older ladies calmly arranging car shares because of a train crash

@hopheaddarrell I have reported the screen issue to be looked into. The 0911 service to Lincoln Central is cancelled due to a member of train crew being unavailable. I'm sorry for this. ^LN

@nationalrailenq "Trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Sheffield will terminate / start at Grindleford." How are people expected to get to/from Sheffield from Grindleford? The 65 bus runs 5 times a day.

It has been another busy weekend for @networkrail and @VolkerRailUK at Totley and Dore & Totley station as work continues on the Hope Valley upgrade. This afternoon @GBRailfreight 66734 “Platinum Jubilee” & 66735 were ballast dropping on newly laid track at Totley Tunnel East

@TPEassist @CMcgourlay @TPExpressTrains TPE used to run a 6 coach train at 7.14 to Manchester from Dore. Over the last fortnight it has run 8 times out of a possible 20. This week has started with another no show. TPE seems to have a death wish. I was planning to use this train on Wednesday. I won't even try.

@CMcgourlay @TPExpressTrains That's interesting. TPE charge £24.00 to Manchester, currently with 50:50 probability that it will run at all. An EMR fast service is the same price but usually runs with only two carriages. Northern takes 25 minutes longer for £8 but usually runs.

@CMcgourlay @TPExpressTrains Over the last 4 weeks this train has run on 8 days and not run on 12. Pre Covid over 100 boarded at Dore. Now most have given up on the railway altogether. I'm planning to use the Northern slow train on Wednesday!
