Journalist of the year Andrea Vance and The Post have been found out by the Media Council for telling ‘ferry-tales’. In early March, Vance published a story that our ferry replacement programme is “$167 million over budget”. This was totally and factually incorrect. We pointed out to Vance directly, twice, that she confused two different numbers that had been public for all to see for almost four months. The first number was $1.867 billion, being the total programme cost including funding from ports for assets they will own, and $1.7 billion being the Government’s share of costs for assets the taxpayer will own. Vance conflated the two figures and misled the public as a result – or as the Media Council said: “As such both the article and the headline are inaccurate and mislead the public.” The Media Council found “Mr Peters is correct to say that The Post’s confusion could have been avoided if the reporter had simply rung any of the relevant parties to check her facts.” No doubt we will see far more ‘Opinion’ pieces from Vance, because that’s what media do when they let their story get in the way of the facts. Meanwhile, we will carry on fixing the Cook Strait mess with two new road and rail ferries and the marine infrastructure to support it, without all the ridiculous waste the Labour Government added in, and saving New Zealand $2.3 billion in the process. Good luck on becoming ‘Journalist of the Year’ this year. Bon voyage.

🚩 It starts. The NZ Police are going full Keir Starmer, intimidating people for opinions on ridiculous high Indian immigration. A kiwi lady who posted the below picture and caption was called into the Police station for a non threatening post highlighting the enforced demographic change in NZ. She says “I was called into the police station for a senior Sergeant to tell me my post was unkind and “racist”, unwelcoming to the Indian community” She stated that the Sergeant became frustrated when she held her ground, walking away from the interview twice when Renee Rosé refused to accept she had done anything wrong or bow down to Police intimidation. She added : “This is what happens when you live under a soft tyranny of the offended people’s . I won’t silence my views to accommodate your feelings” Remember that National will soon be introducing a 16 year old social media ban to keep kids safe. In reality it will be the adoption of the EU’s internet control to throttle back dissenting views. This is all heading to one destination. Listen to the phone call here:

Hmm. Last week Papatoetoe Police went full Luxon, went to a place of worship got into costume, got down on their knees to learn “the virtues of the Sikh religion” NZ Police have guidelines such as a duty to observe religious neutrality, and work within a secular framework. However despite this NZ Police do allow two carve outs especially for Sikhs. i) Sikhs do not have to wear a motorcycle helmet when riding at 50km/h or under (up to a $500 fine for anyone else) ii) Sikhs in NZ are allowed to carry a dagger / Sikh knife (kirpan) in public, for anyone else it can be an offence, a $2000 fine or 3 months jail. There has been multiple attacks by Sikhs in NZ with these ‘religious’ daggers. So much for one law for all. nzherald.co.nz/nz/man-slashed…

𝗧𝘄𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿𝘀: 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗮𝗱𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 Responding to Phil Twyford’s refusal on 1News to support an overstayer enforcement unit, ACT Leader David Seymour says: “Phil Twyford says we don’t need a dedicated overstayer enforcement unit because Immigration New Zealand already has a compliance and investigation team. “The problem is we still have 20,980 known overstayers in New Zealand. Maybe Labour thinks this is okay, but ACT thinks twenty thousand overstayers is evidence the current system isn’t working. “The current setup is generalist, covering everything from employer breaches and migrant exploitation, to fraud, trafficking, and visa breaches. Those are all important jobs, but when everyone is responsible for everything, nobody is properly accountable for one thing. “A dedicated unit would focus on enforcing the law fairly and practically. For example, it would work with platform employers like Uber and DoorDash to verify that people doing paid work in New Zealand actually have the legal right to work here.” Responding to Ricardo Menendez-March, Seymour says: “The Greens have breathlessly claimed ACT wants to bring ICE to New Zealand. This says more about their obsession with American politics than it says about ACT’s immigration policy. “This is New Zealand. We can enforce New Zealand law, in a New Zealand way, without importing every argument from cable news in the United States. “Elected Parliaments have made the rules, and now it’s time to enforce them. If Labour and the Greens don’t like the rules, they should be honest and campaign to change them.”

@2ETEKA @nzpoliticsgroup Ban for kids under 16 is actually tool how to control adults on social media. How adults will go to social media? They will have to upload ID and another problem all these IDs will leak to the dark net, sooner or later. Go after platforms and shorts, not people.

@2ETEKA You will never hear the word racist levelled at Indians, Pakistanis or Africans, for example. That weaponized word was engineered by our masters to belittle, frighten, and marginalize the European race. And it works perfectly. We keep falling for it, just like their Islamophobia

Historical discrimination of Kiwi Indians in spotlight Comparisons with Māori 🤨 New Zealand's Indian community is increasingly rallying around a demand for the government to recognise the discrimination it has faced throughout the country's history. The call comes as the community celebrates the centenary of the New Zealand Indian Central Association, which was founded in 1926 to combat racism. "As we mark an important milestone this year, the Indian community is rallying for [an] acknowledgment of [the] historical racism it has faced in the country - along the lines of the Chinese poll tax apology and Dawn Raids apology delivered to the Pacific communities in the past," said Veer Khar, president of the New Zealand Indian Central Association, at a community event in Auckland on Saturday to mark the anniversary. According to the Ministry for Culture and Heritage, government apologies in New Zealand are a recent phenomenon. "The first non-Te Tiriti o Waitangi Settlement apology was given by the Helen Clark-led Labour government in 2002 to New Zealand's Chinese community for a host of discriminatory historical practices, including the Poll Tax," the ministry says on its website NZ History. "In the same year [2002], the government also apologised to the nation of Samoa in acknowledgement of injustices arising from New Zealand's administration between 1914 and 1935. "Other recent government apologies have been given to Vietnam veterans for the way they were treated after the war, families affected by the Erebus disaster and the Christchurch mosque attacks, and survivors who suffered abuse and neglect whilst in the care of the State and faith-based institutions." In 2021, former Prime Minister Dame Jacinda Ardern delivered an apology for Dawn Raids carried out by Labour and National governments in the '70s. Unfortunately, Khar said, the Indian community had not been considered in such discussions. "Any civilised society has a requirement. It looks back in history and checks if it has done everything correctly. If not, it registers the wrong of the past, acknowledges and learns from it," Khar said. "While we have done it for others, one big population of Indian New Zealanders has been left out. "White supremacy was very strong in New Zealand historically and the Indian community faced the brunt of it. "This being an election year, we would like all political parties to understand the gravity of our demand and take it forward." Doing its part in raising awareness about the historical racism the community has faced, the New Zealand Indian Central Association plans to release a documentary later this year titled Lotus in the Long White Cloud. rnz.co.nz/news/indonz/58…

We would like to congratulate the ACT Party for realising, within just a few days of supporting the Indian FTA, that immigration is an issue that kiwis actually care about. A good effort with the policy, but unfortunately it doesn’t even touch the sides. We would encourage ACT to watch this space for when NZFirst will be announcing what a real and comprehensive immigration policy actually looks like.

🚩New Zealand Prime Minister and Immigration Minister actually dubbed a voice over in Hindi - inviting Indians to bring their parents and grandparents to live in NZ to help “build the economy” These derranged clowns have now signed a dodgy deal with Modhi to allow uncapped Indian Students into New Zealand. Members of Parliament are now accusing resistence to this immigration deal ‘radicalised’ by foreign interference. New Zealand is run by a lunatic !

An extraordinary - and blatant - foreign influence campaign to interfere with New Zealand politics using social media as a vector - this account with over 122,000 followers (describing himself as being based in England), began a sustained attack less than an hour after I published a post calling out the nonsense being stirred up about our FTA with India.
