Major challenges in the region have included: 💉 Limited funding for epidemic preparedness and response initiatives. 🧪 Weak health infrastructure to detect, prevent, and manage outbreaks. 🌍 Cross-border transmission risks due to high regional mobility. 📢 Low public awareness about prevention and preparedness. 🤝 Inadequate collaboration between governments, stakeholders, and communities. By engaging with the public & media esp community Radios, we’ve sparked action on public health readiness in Kenya. We’ve also built a strong coalition of stakeholders—gov agencies, NGO's ( @HennetKenya @GenerationGuid1 )health pros, and community leaders. This collaboration has allowed us to create unified, impactful strategies for EPR. Community engagement has been a focus. We’ve worked to build trust, using culturally sensitive messaging to ensure local preparedness plans fit specific needs and encourage active participation. #GHAIpartnerschat

Our mission is to optimize access to quality health and social services, by empowering communities and strengthening local organizations. In line with this vision, we  launched an advocacy initiative under our Utayari (Preparedness) Project with the help of GHAI, calling for the establishment of a Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Budget Line under the state department of public health in the Ministry of Health.
