Under federal rules, the following can count as “ID” to register to vote: Utility bill Bank statement Rental receipt Not proof of citizenship. Not even necessarily government-issued ID. That doesn't just violate common sense, it's dangerous. It's a wide-open invitation for noncitizens to register. Because it doesn’t verify who should be voting. It doesn't enforce the law that only citizens can vote in American elections. The SAVE America is common sense legislation that requires proof of citizenship to register to vote via: ☑️ a birth certificate ☑️ a U.S. passport ☑️ Naturalization papers If these documents cannot be provided, the registrant may sign an affidavit. Monae Johnson’s office is in CYA mode behind the scenes, directing county auditors NOT to use ES&S EVS 6500 that the completely inept Board of Elections knowingly and willingly ILLEGALLY certified on 2/13/26. DO NOT USE, until they can CHANGE THE RULES, (because it’s undeniable they BROKE the rules and using it would be illegal) and definitely don’t use this system for the primary! (Because there are federal candidates on the ballot, upping the ante) Why would they do this? Because they broke the law, they purposefully denied the citizens due process, they went to court anyway, they know they’ve been caught, and now have admitted guilt out of public view. Here’s the reality: To register to vote federally, you don’t have to prove citizenship. In fact, Congress passed the NVRA in 1993 PROHIBITNG the states from requiring proof of citizenship. You just: ✔ Check a box ✔ Sign your name That’s it. The honor system. No verification. No enforcement. We secure jobs with an I-9… But not elections? That’s a system built on trust—with no verification. The security of the ballot box must be secured with more than the honor system. Laws are meant to be enforced. Pass the SAVE America Act!

Republicans want to force through the "SAVE America Act," the worst voting restrictions since Jim Crow. It would make it harder for married women, servicemembers, Native Americans, and students to vote. I will always stand up to attacks on our democracy. Your vote is your voice!

@iaproject @MarkWarner Over 26 Million voters are registered automatically by their Bureaus of Motor vehicles due to State laws allowing AVR. If Ohio was AVR- we COULD HAVE up to 80k non citizens on the rolls. It’s a requirement under NVRA that carries NO penalty if they mess up. MN does NO checks

The SAVE Act isn’t saving anyone. It’s a regressive, backwards bill that threatens to disenfranchise millions. I’m voting NO.
