This week at #MWCBarcelona, we celebrated the launch of the OCUDU Ecosystem Foundation, a new open collaboration initiative hosted by the @linuxfoundation, focused on advancing open-source innovation in Open RAN and AI-native wireless. Developed in partnership with the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering and the @NSConsortium, the OCUDU effort centers on an open source CU/DU RAN software platform designed to support the evolution of software-defined mobile networks. The Ecosystem Foundation brings together the broader community to develop shared infrastructure, such as integration pipelines, continuous testing environments, reference implementations, and collaborative blueprints, to help scale deployments in #5G and early #6G. The initiative brings together operators, vendors, cloud providers, and research institutions working to build a production-ready open CU/DU software stack and enable faster innovation across the RAN ecosystem.
