.@POTUS' tariffs are dangerous, especially for our longshore workers.   This week, I met with @ilwulongshore President Bobby Olvera Jr. to discuss ways that the federal government can continue protecting and supporting this crucial industry.

I will always stand with unions in the fight for higher wages, safer workplaces, and better benefits. It was good to meet with ILWU International President Bobby Olvera, Jr. and talk about protecting Hawai‘i workers.

ILWU International President Bobby Olvera Jr. spoke with the @Labor_Caucus about a wide range of topics, including the impacts of tariffs on the shipping industry and their membership, as well as the importance of enshrining the rights of labor to organize.

This week, @Labor_Caucus held a meeting with the International Longshore and Warehouse Union International President Bobby Olvera Jr. The 40,000 members of the ILWU are the backbone of America’s supply chain, and we had a great conversation today about how we can support them in Congress.

Unions like Local 6 are the backbone of our communities in the East Bay, ensuring good paying jobs with good benefits. I met with the ILWU yesterday to talk about how we can best work together to deliver for hard working people back home.
