NVTC Data Centers

Over 120 people attended the Jan 10 committee meeting to learn about the next generation of data centers in Loudoun County from @buddyrizer and friends from @InterGlobix @LoudounCoGovt @VEDPVirginia @DominionEnergy and @LoudounWater.

Great meeting today on the past, present, and future of data center designs with expert speakers from @eypmcf @HEDAdvances and @Bala_Engineers. For a data center person, there's no better way to start the work day than an NVTC Data Center and Cloud Committee meeting!

The Committee's first meeting of the year fills the room to capacity with over 120 people ready to work with their colleagues and learn about the future of data centers. The tech industry is a great place to build your career and @NoVaTechCouncil is a great way to connect.

Thanks to Virginia Delegate @MarkKeam for his work on the sales tax incentive encouraging companies to buy computing systems and run them in Virginia data centers. The result - VA is a high tech leader in the world!

One of the highlights of our November 8 meeting honoring U.S. Military Veterans was the presentation by the @LCPSOfficial NJROTC (Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps) led by Master Chief Deanna Foust.

Congratulations to @buddyrizer Executive Director of Economic Development @LoudounBiz for being named a 2018 Tech Titan by @washingtonian. Buddy was one of the founders of the @NoVaTechCouncil Data Center and Cloud Committee.

A big reason Northern VA is the #1 data center market is @DomEnergyVA. I'm with Bill Picard of @Siemon, Lee Kestler of @vantagedc, and Brandon Smith, Pat Haworth, and Dale Bowman of Dominion at @NoVaTechCouncil Titans learning about 5G networks.

I always learn something useful at an @NoVaTechCouncil Titans Breakfast. Bobbie Kilberg, President and CEO of NVTC, and I are here with featured speaker Sowmyanarayan Sampath, Chief Product Officer of @verizon, talking about 5G communications and data centers.
