It's never just video games, they have a problem with you having literally any hobby that you spend time on. And the real reason they hate this is simple.

NEW: A choral concert fundraiser for the victims of the Bondi Beach terror attack at a Jewish event in Sydney has been canceled after local Greek singers opposed singing alongside their Jewish counterparts in the planned joint performance.
The two-hour benefit concert, titled Concert for Hope and Unity, was to feature the Australian Hellenic Choir together with the Sydney Jewish Choral Society in Sydney Town Hall on June 28, The Australian newspaper reported Monday.
However, last Monday, during rehearsals, a vote was taken and over half the Hellenic choir “politically objected” to performing with their Jewish counterparts, according to the report.

When women say they don't like a male hobby, you must translate this to, "I feel anxious if I see my boyfriend/husband spending time on a surrogate activity rather than a tangible achievement, because I feel our resources are insecure, and like he isn't prioritising my needs."

1941 - My mother was born. Women would routinely be fired for becoming pregnant. Marital rape and violence were par for the course and considered domestic issues, not crimes.
1968 - I was born. Women were still not admitted to many Universities. A woman needed a male co-signer for a lease or a loan. It would be 4 more years before women could run in the Boston Marathon.
Don't be a fucking idiot hoping for male head pats. Learn some history. Not only do I remember when things were much worse and harder for women I lived some of it and my mother and grandmother live very small circumscribed lives because feminism had not yet done much of it's work.

Women are over represented in cults. There’s a strong evolutionary drive in women to be seen to be virtuous (so that men don’t kill them) which means fervently adopting fashionable ideologies. I think of the woman on the staircase in The Pianist who screams at the Jew.

I can't really speak to what other women find attractive in this way.
But, I'll say that one of my favourite activities is playing video games with my boyfriend. (Or watching him game, I do that a lot too lmao)
He downloads little couch co-ops all the time and we sit there and play together.
I'm not sure how many men WANT to share this hobby with their lady, but it's a lot of fun when you do it together. ☺️
