@KeturahAbigail You didnt seem to do worse than your parents

I actually think "not fully knowing the other parents" is part of the point. It's super helpful to learn how to adapt to another family's rules/routine and be a polite house guest. Obviously, don't be reckless, but I learned a lot from having sleepovers with friends whose parents had much different parenting philosophies from mine.

One major reasons is laws and regulations. For instance, children are required to be in carseats for a very long time. Very few vehicles are large enough to carry three car seats. (I am aware there are some carseats specially designed to be narrow enough for three wide) Larger vehicles with three rows of seats are now much more expensive due to regulations. Want a bigger family? You have to solve for transportation. All this is to say that the government has made 3 kids HIGHLY inconvenient.

A new survey of over 16,000 churchgoers reveals that simply taking kids to religious services isn't enough to pass on a faith. Instead, warm, open conversations about religion at home are the strongest predictor of lasting faith in adulthood. dlvr.it/TSRMNC
