@hahussain So killing a few hundred women & children is completely fine, so long as 20 or 30 Hezb members die? I would love to see how you would feel if your family was blown to pieces whilst driving innocently only to be randomly killed. I don't think you will have the same logic then

A quick search shows that of the 200 Lebanese killed in 100 Israeli airstrikes, yesterday, 14 were Amal (green posters) and 11 Hezbollah jihadis (Hezbollah stopped issuing martyrs posters to make all losses look non-combatant). When AFP reports the number, it should qualify how many combatants (that’s relatively easy to do). But even newswires come with agendas these days. It’s unfortunate that non-combatants lost their lives as collateral damage, but this is what happens when Hezbollah drags Lebanon to war “in support of Gaza.” Will American members of Congress who falsely accused Israel of committing war crimes in Lebanon correct their libel? Or does politicking trump facts, no matter what?

@zriboua It took a million Syrian lives and 13 years of devastating civil war to bring down the Assad regime. If almost 50 years of sanctions, war on Iran, protests couldn't bring down the regime, I highly doubt this will be enough. There has to be some sort of civil war to achieve it

I have a different position, ceasefire, no ceasefire, I just don’t think the regime can survive, it’s a revolutionary one with a very specific set of military capabilities that have been obliterated and that domestically has broken its social contract after the January massacre. I just don’t see them surviving. The moment they open their economy everything will crash.

No Australian soldier should ever be prosecuted for war crimes, EVER - full stop. Our enemies - the CCP, Russia, Iran, jihadists - are all laughing at us. They would never try their own people in a million years. So why should we uphold non-existent standards that they spit on and mock? I don’t care what Ben Roberts Smith did in Afghanistan, the simple fact of the matter is that if the CCP invaded Australia tomorrow we would be handing him a rifle and telling him to go out and defend our nation. So how can we betray him like this? Australians sleep peaceably in their beds at night because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf. Ben Roberts-Smith is that rough man.

@DrewPavlou Iran is pushing its limit while testing the US/Israeli limits, so long as they believe they can push these limits, they will not surrender anytime soon. Iran actually holds more cards than the US. Its only weakness is actually internal dissent / opposition. Time is on Iran's side

Persian civilisation is beautiful, I really don’t want innocents hurt. So I call on the Iranian regime to immediately surrender, tonight, in order to save lives and protect Persian civilisation. The Iranian regime picked a fight against a much bigger power that they simply cannot win. They violated American red lines and kept pushing against America’s sphere of influence, baiting a much stronger military power. And now we are at this incredibly dangerous point. Trump won’t back down, this will only get worse, the only option is for the Iranian regime to surrender immediately. Please, see reason, and end this madness. Stand down and surrender. Save lives.

@rationalaussie Trump will attack infrastructure and takeover Iranian oil, it's happening, more to come... this war will only get bigger & more violent. This is a TOTAL war, it only ends in collapse of the regime or after heavy Israeli/US losses over a long period which forces them to give up

Trump will Taco. The tell is that his rhetoric gets increasingly deranged the worse things are going for him - that's how he negotiates. He has to make everyone believe he has genuinely lost the plot. If the Iranians think he's mentally unwell they might actually believe he'll nuke them. Hence why his tweets the past few days sound like a madman about to destroy their civilisation. He's not gonna drop a nuke, this is just how he negotiates when he has no actual leverage. He's trying to create leverage that doesn't exist by artificially creating what is most scarce: fear of consequence. I fully expect to wake up 8 hours from now to a headline something along the lines of 'we were so close to giving the orders, I called them and I said - listen listen we can always take them back to the stone age next week if we need to but I'm hearing good things - tremendous things - from the much more reasonable Iranians we've been speaking with. Excellent things. Very positive developments. And so I've informed my team to hold off on dropping the BIG bombs just a little longer. Let's see! PRESIDENT DONALD J TRUMP' And just like that stonks will rip and we'll be waiting until the market closes end of week for more aggressive escalations.

@glwatchdog @allenanalysis Kevin's an idiot. The government is constantly 'stealing' from everyone through income taxes every year. He doesn't mind this, but when its a tax on wealth, it becomes a problem? Wealth tax is so much fairer than income taxes, as income taxes make it much harder to become wealthy

Kevin O’Leary’s advice for becoming a millionaire: “Take 20% of your $69,000 salary and invest it every week. Don’t touch it.” 20% of $69,000 is $13,800 per year. The median American rent is now over $1,700 per month — $20,400 per year. Before food. Before utilities. Before healthcare. Before childcare. Before transportation. A person earning $69,000 cannot invest 20% because 20% does not exist after they pay to exist. .@TheICHpodcast

BREAKING: Australians will no longer pay $1.6bn in card surcharges from October 1. People shouldn’t be punished for using a credit or debit card. That's why the Reserve Bank will today take steps to end credit and debit card surcharging from October 1. This change will make a meaningful difference with Australians no longer paying $1.6 bn a year in surcharges, and small businesses will save $910m.

🇱🇧“You are nothing but bootlickers of America and Israel.” In a fiery message circulating online, a Lebanese voice calls out Lebanese public figures and influencers who rushed to condemn Hezbollah rockets but remain silent as Israeli occupation attacks continue to massacre civilians in southern Lebanon. She says that those who truly love Lebanon stand with every inch of it and every person in it, not only when it suits their politics or their followers. The speaker accuses these figures of claiming patriotism while ignoring the killings of children, pregnant women, and families under Israeli bombardment. She also criticizes what she describes as their eagerness to praise and defend Gulf governments, especially the UAE, while remaining silent about the destruction in their own country, saying their loyalty appears driven by visas, money, and influence rather than genuine love for Lebanon.

@DrewPavlou This has nothing to do with Jews & everything to do with Zionism as an ideology. Same way Nazism has nothing to do with German people. Zionism is a threat to the Muslim/Arab world as its a foreign & expansionist ideology that has its sights on conquering the entire Middle East

It’s amazing how much the Jews break Arab nationalist minds. Robin’s family and friends in Syria were terrorised by Iran for ten years, almost a million dead. But now he’s praying that the Iranian regime holds on. Simply because he hates the Jews more.

Steve Witkoff: Let me say this, because I forgot this small little detail. In that first meeting, both the Iranian negotiators said to us directly, with no shame, that they controlled 460 kilograms of 60% and they're aware that that could make 11 nuclear bombs, and that was the beginning of their negotiating stance. So that's - they were proud of it. They were proud that they had evaded all sorts of oversight protocols to get to a place where they could deliver 11 nuclear bombs.

You see how they cannot handle Iran? Can you imagine if the region united together and took the fight directly to Israel? They would fold Egypt in the south, Jordan and Syria from the east, Hezbollah from the North, the Turks at sea with their drones and jets in the sky and of course the Pakistanis that the Saudis would hire to fight for them. With Iranian missiles and the most underrated pilots in the world, aka the Pakistani Air Force, Israel would fold. They would be done for in a month. The opportunity is literally right there in front of them. It’s right there!

Iran's war strategy is fairly straightforward: Blind U.S. forces by taking out radar installations, then fire low-cost, low-end missiles and drones at various targets to deplete U.S. air defense interceptors. Once U.S. air defense batteries run out of ammunition, then Iran will launch the larger, more dangerous hypersonic missiles or even ballistic missiles. I created this infographic to explain this. Full article coming tomorrow.
