BREAKING: BC is now considering suspending DRIPA after months of legal uncertainty and mounting pressure. This is the direct result of what PLUS has been raising for the past year: DRIPA has led to opaque policies, lawsuits, and land-use agreements fundamentally detached from existing law. vancouver.citynews.ca/2026/04/02/bc-… #bcpoli #canpoli

The CBA says, "Canada's justice system works because Canadians trust that judges apply the law impartially." But the law isn't being applied impartially. Judges and lawyers are increasingly factoring race into their work, Mirza being one of the fiercest advocates for this. It's disgusting. Now, he's let at least two men caught with loaded guns walk free in part because he diagnosed their arrests with racism. You can't possibly expect people to trust that. Questions of criminal justice and judicial decision-making are open to the public. Instead of telling journalists what not to write, you should reflect on the damage racial sentencing and procedure are doing to your profession. nationalpost.com/opinion/jamie-…

Kinda puts a damper on all the big political announcements and agreements.

Geoffrey Moyse: Proven Aboriginal title trumps private property "It is a logical impossibility that two different owners can both exercise exclusive possessory rights to the same land at the same time. Ultimately, one must give way to the other." withoutdiminishment.com/p/proven-abori…

The CBA is scolding an unnamed journalist for criticizing a judge, calling it a "crude effort at undermining public confidence in the judiciary." Since this is clearly about me: I will not apologize for my column about Justice Faisal Mirza two weeks ago.
