Once again I am confused by the anger. Guy had faith in the audience to know how important Tatum was to Sid and not feel the need to spell it out. Why is that bad? And that’s not to knock Kevin, Sid’s final dialogue about Tatum is an EXCELLENT moment, one of my favs in the series

Ready or Not is overhyped and overrated. Not as fast paced as it should have been, lacking in any kind of fun set pieces and the villains are overwhelmingly stupid and shockingly incompetent. Not only that, but the comedy simply doesn’t work here. It’s a decent debut film but not in any way a classic; not even close.

@NateR119 @ViewerAnon That may be true, but it still doesn’t make it rational. By Scream 3, Sidney was shown to be a strategist going into battle. But in 5 (and 6) the writing relied on girl boss energy instead. Which is exactly the “Mary Sue” trope this movie made fun of.

Yes. I especially love the way she already knew who the killer was, had a friend shot on the front lawn, and still entered the murder house, all without bothering to call the police first 🙃

Fun Scream 2 fact: In the original script, Derek and Hallie were actually Ghostface. The ending was changed after the script leaked online before the movie came out.🔪

@realitybites555 How does it render them “useless”? The events of 5 and 6 directly impact the story of 7. Opening scene, Chad/Mindy, Dewey’s death, the literal mentions throughout about the events of 6, the killers motive literally being “you weren’t there for VI”…

Scream is BACK. The best part about Scream 7 is that it basically renders Scream 5 & 6 as useless parts of the canon without totally throwing them away. Scream 7 easily could have been a direct follow-up to Scream 4 with a few very minor tweaks. It’s so gratifying to see how well this movie is doing at the box office, and it proves that fans of this franchise wanted to see Sidney back as the star. Thank you, Kevin Williamson, for your brilliant work. Wes Craven would undoubtedly be very proud of this film. It was beautifully shot and extremely well-paced. The writing is sharp, funny, and poignant. Nobody alive understands this universe better than Kevin Williamson and it’s a privilege to have him at the helm. Neve Campbell is brilliant, as always. You truly feel the weight of Sidney’s past in her performance. The same goes for Courteney Cox and Gale. The opening scene is genius — easily one of the franchise’s best. If you were on the fence about going to see this movie, GO SEE IT. Scream is a film that’s meant to be experienced at the movie theater.

@sistapam96 Marco 100% has injury’s to his face at the reveal. As does Karl when he is unmasked. Also, isn’t this arguing semantics? This happens in almost every Scream film (Mickey aside).

In Scream 7 Madison hits Scott and his face bleeds. Tatum hits Ben and his face bleeds. But Tatum hits Ghostface w a fire extinguisher and at the end neither of them has blood or bruising. Same with Ghostface in Scream 6 after being hit w a cast iron skillet🤔

I just received an email from Amazon for my pre-order of #SCREAM7 [4K UHD +Blu-Ray + Digital Copy]. The delivery date is so far away, not sure why. The price did drop, though, which is nice lol.
