I've spoke on this before, but it's on my heart this evening. We read that Christ fed 5000 people with 5 loaves and 2 fish. A miracle, no doubt.... But what we forget is the young boy who looked at Christ and said, "This is all I have, but I'll give it". Without that gift, Christ would have had nothing to work with. I am sure he would have done something wonderful in some other way, BUT we know what he did do. What does that have to do with you and me? How many times have you been ashamed to give what you could? Ashamed because you only had a dollar while everyone else was giving 20s? A time when you had nothing to give but your time or an ear to listen? A time when all you had was old clothes or old shoes and you felt ashamed to give that? How many times have you needed something and thought, " I need so much more than this. This won't even make a dent in what I need." Next time you face either side of this situation, remember that boy. "I don't have much, but LORD, what I have is yours to use" And then let God do the work you can't. I learned this first hand in Oklahoma a couple years ago. It's what started my path to my own salvation. You can't, but GOD can. You won't, but GOD will. The next time you bow your head in shame, instead bow your head in prayer. "I don't have much, but all I have is yours" and watch what happens. Luke 21:1-4- "And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury. And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites. And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all: For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had" Enjoy your Sunday evening.

I’ll say this for Luke Combs: he knows how to make an entrance, especially at a sold-out Neyland Stadium. Electric.

In practice for the 1988 Busch 500 at Bristol. A blown right front tire sent Rusty Wallace sailing head on into the turn 4 wall at unabated speed. The car rolled over several times. Rusty. Who had just eaten a sandwich for lunch before going out. Was choking to death. When Dr. Jerry Punch arrived and forced him to throw it up. Saving his life in the process.

RIP David Allan Coe - Spent so much time with David over the years, touring, writing songs and just hanging out. I knew a side of Dave most people never got to see. He was such a deep thinker, kind and about as real as an outlaw can get! He did not give a damn what anyone thought of him. Always loved this cover of 'Only God Knows Why' he recorded on his tour bus. He also wrote 'Single Father' for me after spending a few days at my Ortonville MI home YEARS ago with me and my son. I still have piles of songs I need to dig up we wrote together. Rock on David. Love ya brotha. m.youtube.com/watch?v=5qp_4k…

RIP David Allan Coe. A real, true, goddamn Outlaw. Nothing fake about this guy — few in music history truly lived the words to their songs. He was one. This autobiographical tale has always struck me as “if you don’t like me, too bad, I ain’t changing.”

“When nineteen year old Dairy Queen night manager Joey Prusak was serving a blind customer, he noticed the man drop a $20 bill...   The woman behind the blind man grabbed the twenty dollars and put it in her purse. Prusak then instructed the woman to return the money. After she said no, the teenager made her leave. “I told her, ‘Ma’am, you can either return the twenty dollars, or you can leave the store because I’m not going to serve someone as disrespectful as you.'" The woman left. But Prusak returned to the blind man and gave him $20 of his money. Prusak notes, "I was doing what I thought was right. I did it without even really thinking about it."

Got a bad update on my step-dad tonight. Seems they can't get him out of Afib and his pulse is staying at around 150. They've moved him to cardiac ICU and have a procedure scheduled for in the morning to try to get his heart back in rhythm. I thought he would be coming home tomorrow, but today took a turn for the worse.

This is what Gen X boys actually grew up watching. John Wayne — the ultimate no-bullshit, whiskey-voiced father figure — grabbing a pack of soft little punks and turning them into cowboys the hard way on a real cattle drive. Dust. Sweat. No safe spaces. No participation trophies. Power Rangers? 😂 That’s what happens when California raises your kids — rainbow spandex and “It’s morphin’ time!” while the rest of us were learning how to be MEN. We didn’t need capes. We had The Duke. 🤠💀 #TheCowboys #GenX #JohnWayne #RealMen #NotPowerRangers
