A visit of Veterans and spouses to new Nausena Bhawan was conducted on 14 Mar 26. During the visit, veterans were briefed on various key aspects of the Nausena Bhawan and a walk around was conducted followed by lunch.

Veteran outreach by the #IndianNavy in Himachal Pradesh. VAdm Sanjay Vatsayan, #VCNS and Mrs Sarita Vatsayan Vice President #NWWA, interacted with Naval Veterans and #VeerNaris of Hamirpur and Bilaspur districts of Himachal Pradesh at Hamirpur, on #07Mar 26. 15 Octogenarians were felicitated by VCNS including 1971 Indo-Pak war INS Khukri survivor ex Hon Slt Dhumaram. 20 Veernaris were also honoured by the Vice President #NWWA including Sheela Devi ji, widow of Jagdeesh Chand, Std II, martyr of INS Khukri in 1971. The VCNS also felicitated 1 HP Naval NCC, Bilaspur for winning the PM rolling trophy for 318 Km sailing expedition ‘शतुद्री वंदन ‘, on river Sutlej as part of PM NCC rally. Tributes were paid by his son Mohammed Goush, a resident of Thane, Maharashtra.

In a solemn ceremony at the National War Memorial, heartfelt floral tributes were offered to Late Abdul Latif, PO of INS Khukri, a battle casualty who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty during the 1971 Indo-Pak War.

Various Help Desks were also setup to aid with Service, Pension, ECHS, CSD and Banking related issues. The Annual Navy Foundation Magazine - Quarterdeck 2025 was also released by the #CNS during the event.

A proud Naval veteran and a Padma Shri awardee, he pioneered Indian travel writing, and along with his late wife Colleen Gantzer, revealed India’s soul and diversity of our nation to millions.
