I’d argue that the only true innovation brought by crypto is bitcoin which is a decentralized store of value. Then came zcash which brought privacy to it. Apart from that I don’t really see the benefit of smart contracts. Decentralization can bring so much more innovation if applied right and by that I mean with the right datastructure & idea.

Assets and their communities needs to decide if they’re peer to peer cash or NGU. Many of them drift with the latest narrative because they’re not really either and chase trends. Litecoin is lucky in that it’s extremely popular digital cash but because it has scarce supply it’s also designed to appreciate in value like Bitcoin. Novices look at the current price not understanding the network effects and usage are creating a divergence. Today’s price is completely irrelevant. Many expert investors like Warren Buffet have spoken about this many times. The best investors look at the fundamentals and project that into the future to see what they should start accumulating. Once a pump has started you’ve already lost and are chasing. When $LTC is at $100 or $200 I’ve already made many multiples and all you’re left with is the tweets you sent me saying an asset with 40x usage per day over $ZEC is “dead”. I’m afraid that’s not going to be very helpful to your net worth.

I think a new asset class will emerge that is like nothing we’ve seen before which is agents trading on behalf of humans and humans invest in agents instead of stocks. The more intelligent agent with the better infrastructure will be the new s&p500.

@Ne0seiki this is already starting to happen — look at aixbt's market cap vs actual utility, or the Polymarket volume surge. the question isn't if agents become the investment vehicle but whether the alpha decays faster than human-managed funds. agent vs agent games get zero-sum fast

If anyone’s tokens get halved, holding your tokens would be economically more worthy, but within an ever-changing worthless system. Your coins are as worthy as having a billion tokens you just minted for yourself.

While pressing red wiuld ensure yiu get your current worth or more since the supply will shrink, pressing blue ensures one thing red would sink: the consensus of what those tokens represent in the first place.

Here is the same idea but without anyone dying, you psycho-killers: If you press blue, everyone keeps their coins as they are. If you press red and red ends up being the majority, blue voters get their coins halved.

I have never understood why this is even a question, let alone why someone would consider pressing blue Here is an equivalent problem that shows why pressing blue makes no sense — Everyone is standing on the edge of a pool When the whistle blows you can jump in the pool or not If more than half of the people jump in the pool then everything will be fine But if less than half of the people jump in the pool, then sharks will be released into the pool and everyone in the pool will die — Why on earth would anyone jump into the pool? If they jump into the pool, that is their own dumb fault

Very nice thought experiment. Red gives u a 100% success rate to live with potential psychopaths. I’d rather die than live if it is at the cost of even 1 human, and we all know that people will click blue.
