@Alistair_McF @OilratsRust @FcpnchStds What about the shadow buff that happened? Shields did not work as currently working. Bullets used to reduce the amount of time the shield was able to be held. Shooting an entire mag of bullets currently doesn’t do anything to the amount of time the shied can be held?

@Neakohh @OilratsRust @FcpnchStds Because shields are working as intended, they were buffed a long time ago to allow them to see more use. It wasn't until recently that some videos went viral on Rust scene, and their effectiveness was shown. Metrics show very little increase in their usage still.

@TheoryWiseOS Harandir is the worst zone in the last like 5 expansions, it’s just so bad. Everything is huge and constantly going in tunnels and underground is terrible design

Here is my Midnight Zone Tierlist: 1. Eversong -- By FAR the best. Gorgeous, cohesive, and exciting. 2. Zul'Aman -- Story heavily detracted from it, but the environments are gorgeous, and I love the Amani architecture. 3. Harandir -- Zangarmarsh is a sleeper favorite of mine, so this felt like a bit of a remaster. The music is standout. Story is flaccid. 4. Voidstorm -- Purple rocks. Very boring throughout, not saved by the sky box.

@skierrust This isn’t true at all. Whe shields were implemented they blocked damage obviously but each hit reduced the duration of how long it could be held. Somewhere later they made a change to it and not it can block infinite bullets during the duration, which is wrong.

@mcuban I still don’t understand why it isn’t just a full random everyone gets a ball draft? The odds of obviously the same teams picking in the lottery are astronomical. Give them complete randomness and no teams will have a reason to tank? Last place, you’re just bad.

Since tanking is getting everyone’s attention , back in the day, when we were winning 50 gms every year and never got a good pick here is what I floated “Make the draft more like free agency. Except the worst record gets the salary slotted to the first draft pick. The next worst record gets the next amount. Etc. Then the teams recruit players with their “rookie cap room “. The team with the worst record has the most money. But if their organization is terrible, the best players don’t like the coach, whatever, they can take less money and go to a different team. “ The second round stays the same. Got shot down. Quickly. Separately, I ALWAYS advocated for 4 rounds in the draft. One of the DUMBEST things that happens during the draft, particularly now with 2 ways , is that when the draft hits about 45, and players have fallen much further than expected, the phone lights up with calls from agents telling those with remaining picks NOT TO DRAFT their player. They would prefer to pick the team they want. Simultaneously, teams are trying to buy a pick or swap a future pick for one of the remaining picks. Then finally after @ShamsCharania tells us the 60th pick, every draft room goes into over drive and will spend HOURS trying to get players they like to fill out their summer league teams. The agents aren’t dumb. They will play team against each other for guaranteed money, a 2 way contract, playing time. It’s ridiculous. Look at it this way. There are 3 , 2 way contracts per team. You can use one on your second rd pick, if you have one, and you don’t have to offer it at all, but teams do because the know it makes the player and agent look good. But they also know they can waive the 2 way player at any time. So the promises fly Add two rounds and it’s fairer to players and people in the draft room can go home at a reasonable time 🤷🏼‍♂️
