I love hot weather. Sitting out on a warm evening with a cold beer is awesome. We go on holiday for such weather. But as a scientist I can’t really bring myself to enjoy this freak heatwave in the UK because I know what it is a manifestation of.

Genuinely makes me furious. Four days ago these people were just scrolling through Twitter like us, walking the dog, heading off to work, maybe meet the gang for a drink at the weekend. Then their country was invaded. Who the fuck are we to say "nah sorry go somewhere else".
