@ScotRugbyNews Did he witter on about targeting the standing leg? Thats a Munster favourite. Those Irish boys are so salty. They have a real sense of their own superiority when it comes to rugby.

Tell us how how you really feel Donncha...😲 The Ireland legend has unleashed on Glasgow Warriors, claiming he was 'sickened' by their spat with Leinster!

“I’m not going to say I don’t have a problem with Scotland” Peter O’Mahony has the same delivery and attitude of a fellow Cork sporting legend turned stellar pundit, Roy Keane

@EmilyMaher11084 Why would you consider the WC? It’s an irrelevance for a team that had never been beyond the QF.

Ive been hyper critical of the Irish coaching ticket. Our set piece was a mess. They sorted the lineout and made the scrum respectable. Defence excellent too. This shows that with an extended time in camp this ticket improves the team and thats huge for the WC. #IREvSCO

@Outhalf @jim_demps It’s just rugby. Think Odran has lost the B from the start of his name and has had the sene knocked out of him. Well done Ireland.

Jack Crowley was nigh on flawless today. Super game. Really mature performance on both sides of the ball. Played when he had to and put others into the game when he needed. Did really well here too despite Steyn trying to go through him.

@bencoles_ There is a difference between quality depth and Test match quality. England lack unicorns in the backs. Lots of great players but who are the real game breakers at Test level. I think Italy have a better set of backs, and in midfield the difference is stark.

Boldest selection by England for a while. Bored of saying ‘this centre partnership could be the one’… but Atkinson-Freeman really could be. Hoped they would start with one of Chessum or Coles at six, but there you go. 50th cap for Ben Earl.

@RugbyInsideLine Even without Brex, Italy have a superior back line. Big issue for England is that they don’t have a single world call player 9-15

Scotland’s major stroke of fortune. Darcy Graham try came from a quick throw-in. Has to be taken with the same ball that went out of play but that ball was in the crowd. Same ball rule in the book for decades

@Ed_Miliband I believe the current parlance is ratio’d. Perhaps reflect on why that is? Particularly if you look at the metrics to @afneil response to your post.

1/ Reform’s energy surrender plan would sell out our energy security to fossil fuel interests, trash the countryside with fracking, cost hundreds of thousands of clean energy jobs and cause bills to skyrocket.

@MatthewStadlen @LynchCoach Scotland found it pretty straightforward at Twickenham last year against 15 men (three tries to one), and the year before that, and the year before that…Reality is that England’s edge defending is poor and Scotland has had more talented three quarters for some time.

Scotlands ability with ball in hand here and finding space is proper! Fundementals of passing performed with such accuracy! First principle of rugby: Go forward! Don’t need plenty phases to get over the line, nail your fundementals!

@BoondockSa1nt @rugbyontnt Lazy view. It’s just that England have underperformed in the last 5-8 years, given where they should be. And their style of rugby seems to suit Scotland or perhaps we drag them into our kind of game. It’s SA, Ireland that are kryptonite to us with sheer physicality and efficiency

@rugbyontnt To be fair… the Calcutta cup is, and has always been Scotlands World Cup final. It’s the only time they ever seem to actually put in a performance. Beating England is their everything. From an Irish Italian.

@rugbyontnt Blows my mind we dropped Finn Smith who was responsible for turning round a sinking ship last year. Steward is miles off the pace for an international full back. Not sure he offers anything.

@Scotlandteam @SixNationsRugby Seems very evident that the kicking law changes around no shepherding impacted this selection. There will be more box kicking across the championship and expect Italy to focus on this in Sat. Townsend has picked his best available aerial players in the back three
