#GameDev suggestion! I have bought and abandoned many Xbox games because I repeatedly die at one point in a game, often very early, and the whole remainder of the game that I paid for is blocked from access. Does NO ONE want to resolve this matter?

As we stuff ourselves over Christmas it is worth remembering the coming food crisis - or to put it bluntly - how we will soon have no food and will be starving. This is a great article on the total mess of our farming system and our political culture which has made it into a total mess. As someone who farmed and delivered veg directly to 1000s of households for two decades, I am well aware of all the problems. I think what is needed here is a sequencing strategy, rather than being overwhelmed with the enormity of the difficulties. What the article misses are the social dynamics. There is a tendency to just pile into the technical and material solutions, rather than focus on the social dynamics which lead to the political will to create those solutions. In other words, we have a problem of organisation, of community, connection, and trust. The main priority has to be to create these new social potentialities via communication spaces - more concretely, assemblies both in communities, and within the farming sector - where people can listen and feel listened to. Only then can we build alliances for what is objectively needed - i.e., more resilient supply lines etc. I will be writing a lot more about this in 2025. The food crises are now locked in. America has 815 billionaires as of this year. Collectively they have a record $6.7 trillion in wealth. The bottom 50% of Americans control $3.7 trillion in wealth. When 815 people control more wealth than half a country’s population, we have a very serious problem.

@InklingEllenore @Soapsub @ChiariChris Sorry to hear. But what angers also as much as how little is done to address this. We have fast food delivery people on bikes looking at phones at speed, racing round corners and going through red lights as a norm, allowed to perpetuate.

It may sound implausible, but the more that we warmly connect face to face with others, the better immune system health we will develop. But the trend is towards a chilling indifference towards others in public - personal and societal health both suffer.

Don’t believe what the right wing media tell you, this isn’t the most unpopular government in living memory, quite the opposite. They maintain a healthy lead in the polls despite making some tough policy decisions. Grown up politics 👍

Call a General Election? This awful Labour Government is not fit for purpose and so far removed from what the Labour Party was set up to be. Starmer and his gang (MPs and Peers) need to be thrown out and truth and reconciliation brought to bear on what they did to Jeremy Corbyn.
