We had a good day of advocacy at the Texas state capital along side our partners at @citizensclimate. Texas is a leader in renewable power generation. Further investment in transmission lines will reduce congestion, save Texans money and help reduce emissions. #CCLTXLobbyDay2023

Hello. I would like to invite you all to record your questions for @austinenergy and city leaders about the power crisis. We're planning a town hall-like radio special in the coming days and we need your questions. Keep it civil. form.jotform.com/230364832112042

Weeks ago, the US was on the cusp of passing the largest environmental bill since the Endangered Species Act of 1973. Then the bill — known as Recovering America's Wildlife Act — died in Congress. I wrote about whether a new Congress can pass it. vox.com/down-to-earth/…

Horrifying that we are increasing LNG export capacity: "Another $19.3 billion has been invested in LNG plants under construction in Texas and Louisiana. When completed those plants will boost existing U.S. export capacity by 39 percent by 2025." @txenvironment @cclatx
Luke Metzger@lukemetzger

“Had this exported LNG been available for fuel-starved Texas power plants, they could have generated enough electricity to serve more than half of the residential customers who suffered through blackouts during Winter Storm Uri.” theaustinbulldog.org/while-texas-fr…

“Existing utility-scale wind, solar, and energy storage projects in Texas are estimated to pay Texas landowners $7.1–$11.3 billion over the lifetime of the projects.” Texas is blessed with an abundance of natural resources. No logical reason to pit one against another. #txlege

Hot off the presses: A study by @joshdr83 and released by @cnsrvtxns4nrg, @APowerAlliance, and @txbiz shows clean energy projects are producing tens of billions of dollars for Texas taxpayers and landowners. tinyurl.com/z8t955j6 #txlege #txenergy #SustainableSolutions
