Hosted World Scout Committee Chair Daniel Corsen, Africa Support Centre Regional Director Fredric Kama-Kama, Africa Scout Committee Chair Maina Kiranga, and their delegation for a courtesy call. We reflected on Nyeri Town’s recent global recognition as a unique Scout and Guiding City, a tribute to its historic role as the final resting place of Lord Baden-Powell, founder of the Scouting movement. This milestone strengthens Nyeri’s standing in global Scouting and highlights Kenya’s potential as a hub for heritage and cultural tourism. With over 60 million Scouts worldwide, the recognition opens exciting opportunities to honour Baden-Powell’s legacy and spotlight Nyeri on the world map.
