They both didn’t deserve to go to the worldcup, they had a very bad season with Manchester United. Finishing 3rd was never an achievement at United but now we celebrate it. Tuchel sees beyond those pr and hype around this our players and made the best decision for England.

@DazzaDavies Why would we as United supporters want a manager that stamps his squad with his own imprint and wins? Tuchel has won more than all managers since Mourinho combined. SAF never made big decisions or removed popular players or created drama. Big Clubs need big managers that win.

Always felt Tuchel is someone who creates trouble and drama. He’s trying to make a statement with some of these decisions at the expense of the greater good. Big reason why I wanted him nowhere near the United job.

No serious manager/club will have Maguire at the back and expect to play good football or win meaningful trophies. Reports says Tuchel dropped Maguire for Chalobah. I’m not surprised one bit, no manager would want a defender with less mobility in the most prestigious football competition.

That Maguire tweet has broken me. Having given so much to the national team over the years, a man was looking forward to one last hurrah at the World Cup. Dream shattered due to the (objectively incorrect) whims and fancies of one man.

Leaving Harry Maguire out is not a smart move if you ask me. This is a tournament football which is about experience, mentality and players who show up under pressure. Maguire has delivered for England in multiple International tournaments. You don’t leave out a proven player because social media turned him into a meme. Time will definitely tell

@commissionase United saw Maguire good enough to extend his deal for a season to save money and not have to go out spend in the position this summer.

Tuchel doesn't think Maguire is good enough to make his world cup squad but Manchester United saw him good enough to hand him a new deal.. I'll just add this too.. Only Manchester United would give Michael Carrick a permanent deal.. No other top club in Europe will..

@robstaton You are missing that he is average and slow. MUFC would rather convince people that Maguire is a top player than develop Yoro and Heaven or invest in a better younger player. Statically he is not a top 10 English center back in the league. Numbers do not lie.

I was confident I could of played a major part this summer for my country after the season I’ve had. I’ve been left shocked and gutted by the decision. @abooker17 As one of those that watch hours of soccer a week from around the world the level of commentary is much better and watching MLS on TV is like watching paint dry. In the stadium the experience is very entertaining. But it doesn't translate. I wish is was better I need more soccer.

MLS is poor at attracting American soccer fans who wake up every Saturday morning at 7am to watch hours of European football, and that’s an audience they need to capture in this country. The last thing they should do is make the sport unrecognizable to the rest of the world.
