Had to give this its own post. Excuse me while I ramble … Been thinking a lot about what Jamie Lee Curtis asked - what does it mean to me to be respected in my line of work? Honestly? I’m shocked I was able to keep it together on the spot to give a coherent response that I actually feel pretty good about but now that I’ve had more time to sit with it - being respected means everything because I know the work I’m putting out is truly me. It took me time to find my voice in this space and to pinpoint what I wanted to bring to it. When I found it, I didn’t let it go. There’s endless pressure nudging journalists in one direction or another, and yes, we all have to evolve and adapt a bit, but when I figured out the key values that were guiding my compass most, those became a non-negotiable guiding light. So the idea of being respected really does mean the world because I’m just being myself, doing work I genuinely love and take great pride in.

@OtakuMai1 It’s a pretty popular opinion, yes. Better Call Saul is a different kind of vehicle but equally amazing in its own right. Overall it’s one of be best prequel things ever made and fits into the larger story of Breaking Bad perfectly.

So my dad likes Better Call Saul even more than Breaking Bad. Is this a common opinion? Now that I’ve finished Breaking Bad (amazing ending) not sure if I want to watch Better Call Saul 🤔
