Today is my first birthday in 25 years without any of my kids at home. Saw them recently, and always miss them, but on certain days, it hits harder. I also spent the morning in the throes of a migraine. 🙄. Am hoping the day gets better!

Like many mothers of people with disabilities, I’ll spend today writing letters of advocacy on my daughter’s behalf. I hope I’m not naive in thinking the recipients might take a little more notice after the referendum result. Maybe disability and care are finally on the agenda.
