Thank you Jensen and NVIDIA! She’s a real beauty! I was told I’d be getting a secret gift, with a hint that it requires 20 amps. (So I knew it had to be good). She’ll make for a beautiful, spacious home for my Dobby the House Elf claw, among lots of other tinkering, thank you!!

if you're wondering why prediction markets are under attack: entrenched gaming interests are funding a huge smear campaign to protect their monopoly they call it "consumer protection" yet their business depends on you losing and the house winning marketsovermonopolies.com
Gambling is Not Investing@EndBackdoorBets

Mick's Picks @MickMulvaney is riding with Michigan to cut down the nets! When wagering on your national champion, remember that prediction markets skirt the consumer protections and state tax structures that legal sportsbooks comply with.

The algorithm feels TikTokified, where, for example, liking a post overcorrects the feed to hyperfocus on similar stuff. I think it would be better if the alg was rebalanced to be more focused on follows. Maybe shifting the weight given to likes towards follows would work? 𝕏 always thrived on communities and self-curated niches.

smaller batch size is the real answer. the KV cache pinning is the part nobody mentions — turbo often means reserved allocation so your tokens don’t get evicted mid-generation. you’re paying to skip the queue, not to run on different hardware.smaller batch size is the real answer. the KV cache pinning is the part nobody mentions — turbo often means reserved allocation so your tokens don’t get evicted mid-generation. you’re paying to skip the queue, not to run on different hardware.

Can someone smarter than me explain how these “turbo mode” things work on like an implementation level? Are they using better GPUs? More GPUs? Reserved allocation during generation?

I built an upset vulnerability index (Y-axis) that tries to gauge the probability of a higher seeded team losing in the first round. The X-axis has the Kenpom simulation probability of losing in round 1 Most vulnerable in the upper right quadrant. Very hard to backtest this so could be WAY off 😂

Before our merger w/ Unabated, HALF of Gambly's employees were named Jason. Would you believe we picked up another Jason in this deal - our second Jason S.? If your name is Jason and you're remotely competent, we'll hire you. Can't get enough Jasons. x.com/BalesBets/stat…
Jonathan Bales@BalesBets

So excited for @gambly to bring on @JayShapRocky as our VP of Revenue. Jason has been a Gambly user since inception and actually came onto our radar because he was sending @CalSpears all kinds of useful early user feedback. One of the first employees (and eventual President) at Betcha, Jason is most importantly a great guy and *exceedingly* knowledgeable in the sports betting space. We knew we had to bring him on despite our team of full-time employees now inexplicably being FIFTY PERCENT Jasons.

I am sorry, but if you can’t play in at least 80% of the games, you probably don’t deserve to win regular season awards. Only five NBA MVPs have gone to a player who played under 65 games. Malone won in a 50-game strike season. LeBron during a 66-game strike season. Giannis during 72-game COVID season. Cousy during a 72-game season. In NBA history, only Bill Walton would have been impacted by the 65-game rule.
Jim Miloch tweet media
James L. Edwards III@JLEdwardsIII

The 65-game rule didn’t increase attendance like it was designed. Instead, it’s taken away deserved honors from some of the best players in the league.
