🚨PARALYSED PATIENTS WALK AGAIN AFTER BRAIN ELECTRODE IMPLANTS In a groundbreaking first, 2 paralysed patients regained the ability to walk short distances and climb stairs after receiving brain implants through deep brain stimulation. The technique, led by Swiss researchers at EPFL, uses electrodes in the lateral hypothalamus to "reawaken" dormant nerve fibers in the spinal cord, restoring partial control of leg muscles. One patient, paralysed since 2006, now manages tasks like standing and walking with support. Scientists aim to combine brain and spinal stimulation for faster and more complete recovery in the future. Source: Sky News
