@JosephBaba1 @DeadmanMax The Churches serve as all of those things… we are a Christian people, so naturally our community’s roots will lie with their Church.

BBC Report: The Assyrian community in London, UK came together and purchased/renovated a large, disused Anglican church in Ealing and turned it into the largest Assyrian church building in Europe.

in the book he's vain and cowardly who only beats old men/inexperienced jousters to show off. but in the show he comes across as greenhorned and naive. i feel like baelor wanted to preserve valarr's naivety and protect him to present him as a gallant knight even w/ rigged matches

@nonregemesse Third one is the worst - by far. 1st with 2nds voice and demeanor would’ve been great. I actually liked the 2nd

@kiran2_k @nonregemesse You are right. The books did not have that much nudity and filth. Read Book 1 - there is barely anything, yet season 1 of the show was full of it.

@nonregemesse The show was degenerate slop from episode 1. Women were naked and beaten with a scepter or littered full of crossbow bolts while nude, but a rape scene with no nudity at all is somehow crossing the line. Not to mention what happened to Theon.

@_ant________ We should move on from this name debate in 2026. It’s embarrassing that we are still speaking with so much animosity towards together in these comments.

I don't hate Assyrians and I'm not against unity trying to force the Assyrian name on Chaldeans and Syriacs is the reason there is division

@SJWarrior2020 @Ryandally08 @AlboMP I think uneducated is an understatement tbh, Assyria is a historical region that spans multiple modern day nations that we pre-existed - quite simple really. Regardless, what’s the relevance of that?

@NevucHalasBi @Ryandally08 @AlboMP It'd be interesting to see, specifically, on any current map, just where "Assyria" is. Apparently though, you have the audacity to call ME uneducated. 😂 You can fuck off with your predictable pivots.

Happy Assyrian New Year! Assyrian Australians have a proud place in our nation and it was wonderful to celebrate their culture, history and community in Fairfield today.

@SJWarrior2020 @Ryandally08 @AlboMP Assyrians brought their violence with them did they? What violence did we have to bring? Was it not the Assyrians who endured genocides and state-sponsored massacres? And yes - Assyrians DO come from Assyria. Please spare me the uneducated xenophobia, give a real response

@NevucHalasBi @Ryandally08 @AlboMP You DO know that "Assyrians" dont come from "Assyria", don't you? They were given safe harbour here, but brought their violence with them - and its NOT a one of situation. I know a lot of Aussies have had a gutful of people not being thoroughly vetted before being allowed here

I actually sort of hope that it is a lie. But what evidence do we have against it? I know it was anonymously penned, so that’s against it. And he was hardly the only Polish nobleman. But is there anything else?
Lucas Falango (Ἱερώνυμος)@Falango1993

That is a slander against St Peter Mogila. A man who fought his entire life for the Orthodox faith is said to have become, in the final moments of his life, the very thing he despised most (a Uniate). Thanks to God it's just a lie. x.com/i/status/16976…

I just went to pay for dinner in Sydney. The restaurant manager pushed my card away and told me somebody already paid for our table. Turns out this kind gentleman shouted us as thank us for our NDIS work. Thank you so much king, such a nice gesture 😃❤️ @PeteZogoulas

@arambusiness Such a tragic fate that the ancient people who speak the language of Jesus Christ are scattered and homeless. I feel we had so much more to offer this world, but Our kingdom is not of this world.

@NickHammac @2Corinthians518 @jfjoubert @MercifulMessage Arabic is NOT the language of Jesus, Why are you expecting Americans to use Aramaic greeting terms? There is Aramaic speaking Christians - Assyrians/Chaldeans that speak the language of Christ - so this disproves your point

I'm not denying their existence. I'm speaking from a Western perspective and experience. In the Middle East, where they speak Arabic, they still use the language of Jesus. Here in the US, it's an embarrassment to say it, people make fun of you if you talk like that so nobody does it.

@sobergoy @9O4BC @GewargisOfAthor @arambusiness Well we have the flag in our Churches, and we have the mental capacity to understand it is just a symbol that has no bearing on our faith. Respectfully, Maronites have greater cultural concerns to be worried about.

@GewargisOfAthor @9O4BC @arambusiness How is it doing that? I am a devout Christian and still I can seperate religious identity from a national one. Yes they are intertwined, but it doesn’t automatically make us pagans. I am not compelled to worship an idol just because of my flag.

@9O4BC @arambusiness Who is it up to Collin? Look what our ancestors did to the Khinnis reliefs and you think they would have accepted this? Modern Assyrian nationalism is killing our culture and heritage.
