Today I had the privilege of participating in the Stanford Leadership Forum 2026, hosted by the new Stanford Leadership Institute — an exciting new interdisciplinary hub from the @StanfordGSB dedicated to advancing leadership excellence for a changing world. I moderated a session on the Business Case for Financial Literacy: From Classroom to Capital Markets, alongside three people whose work I deeply admire: Natalya Guseva of @wef , Tim Ranzetta of @NextGenPF , and Gerri Walsh formerly of @FINRAFoundation Financial literacy is not a nice-to-have, it is a must have. It shapes workforce readiness, investor behavior, and the strength and stability of capital markets. When people understand how money works, everyone benefits, not just the individual, but the economy as a whole. It was gratifying to have that conversation in a room full of leaders who have the power to act on it.
