Just had a productive meeting with @NickBeresford2, Permanent Representative of @UNDPGeorgia. We discussed strengthening cooperation and focused on the new phase of the UNDP Parliamentary Support Project. Exciting plans ahead for institutional development and inclusive parliamentary processes.

Despite the fact that a few days ago, the Ministry of Internal Affairs committed to taking every suitable action to ensure the safety of every individual’s right to freedom of expression and the security of the enclosed event on Lisi Wonderland, the Ministry of Internal Affairs did not protect the Pride Fest and the volunteers and organisers of @TbilisiPride were evacuated from the area, the police took the far right groups to the Pride Fest area. Currently, there are extremist/radical/far right/ pro-Russian groups positioned at the festival entrances.
