@FreckledLiberty aspirations, values, talent and using ones life towards something noble is attractive regardless of gender. I don’t have many friendships or relationships with people in typical career contexts because it’s just not that interesting to me.

@tripmodeCH Thanks for your reply! I think it was my end. I had reset my computer and no change. I did a shut down and restart and then began seeing the icon in the top bar and being able to interact with it. The odd thing is another bandwidth app was behaving the same

@therealjayber It is not just degree- it is threshold. The transition from 0 to 1 is threshold. Transition from 1 to 2 is degree. Just sayin'

The reason I don't have kids is the exact same reason why people who have 2 kids don't have 10 kids. It's the exact same reasoning, just a difference in degree.

Taste is a measure of how far you can see without scaffolding. The more taste you have, the less scaffolding you need, and vice-versa. Those who can see further away, can win by building the scaffolding needed to bring what they see within reach of those who can't yet see it.

@nosilverv I think this is brilliant but it's not taste as such, at least not defined in a way I think of it. Even the nature of you using the eye suggests that this isn't about taste m, which is far more of an immediate sense, and more about sight. "seer". Those who see beyond the obvious

@NickCattonCo If raw milk makes you sleepy is also a good sign, you should take it before sleep to optimizing sleep. Though dairy products make you sleepy, it is a fact. Just fix your eating schedule, eat dairy food later at the day.

🥛 Why Raw Milk Deserves a Spot in Your Diet Raw milk - unpasteurized and unprocessed - has been a staple in human diets for centuries. While modern practices favor pasteurization for safety, emerging research highlights the potential benefits of consuming raw milk when sourced responsibly. 🌿 Nutrient-Rich and Natural Raw milk retains its natural enzymes, beneficial bacteria, and nutrients that are often diminished during pasteurization. These components can aid in digestion and support a healthy gut microbiome. 🧒 Potential Allergy and Asthma Benefits Studies have observed that children consuming raw milk may experience lower rates of allergies and asthma. For instance, the GABRIELA study found an association between raw milk consumption and reduced incidence of these conditions in children. 💪 Supports Immune Function Raw milk contains immunoglobulins and other immune-supporting compounds. Some consumers report improved immunity and overall health after incorporating raw milk into their diets.

I’ve long suspected that traditional goal-setting is on its way out The old SMART framework just doesn’t fit today’s unpredictable world But what should replace it? In my latest blog post, I explore an alternative approach, outlined in "Why Greatness Cannot Be Planned" by Kenneth Stanley and Joel Lehman Instead of rigid objectives, the authors suggest a more dynamic, creative approach Here’s what they recommend: 1. Optimize for novelty and interestingness 2. Follow your gut instinct about which direction is most promising 3. Hold your plans lightly and be open to changing direction 4. Pay attention to the past 5. Double down on what makes you unique 6. Collect stepping stones If you’ve ever felt stuck or uninspired by goal-setting, this will challenge you to think differently

@fortelabs I like the framework. Thanks for sharing! And, IMHO, the so-called "SMART" goal framework is really describing GTD-style project planning, not goals at all. (Said as a 27-year GTD user - along with PARA now of course!)

@RubenMoor Nobody yet knows what the origin is. That’s THE question. But nobody thought to even ask that question until Deutsch wrote about creativity.

David Deutsch is the only person on here you *need* to follow. I have notifications set up so I don't miss his posts. Most of my bookmarks are his posts. You can just ask a question to the man at the forefront of human knowledge and he'll reply with something that for a brief moment lets you glimpse into his crystal in the multiverse.

If you want to make money in the stock market you do not ask it to improve, you seek to understand it If you want to grow food you do not ask seasons to to be better, you seek to understand them If you want a great life you do not ask yourself to improve, you seek to understand yourself

@peater200062784 Damn. I find it close to impossible to eat alone like that. Makes me want to vomit when so much hits my stomach. Hasn’t made me so warm either, where as potatoes warm me up straight away. There was an interview with anabology which touched on this potential difference.

@NickCattonCo Just raw, sometimes in tea, sometimes on top of fruit, I like to add some flaky salt on top of it to get sodium in too.
