@AriZerner I used to 100% agree with this cause people were doing math wrong about closed loop cooling. But I think their water capacity also poses an issue for eg small towns nearby, simply by holding a large portion of the total system volume that the reservoir would have otherwise held.

5/22 (Day 91): The stitches are out!! Poor Peach cried a lot during staple removal, and Rose wriggled enough to need two people holding her hands and legs, but it was all over in just a few minutes. Tomorrow their cage goes back to normal, and the ordeal is finally over.

I'm gonna use this thread as a Rat Diary! Catching up:
2/20 (Day 0): acquired, placed in cage, added food. Late at night, so went to sleep. Barely slept due to new-pet anxiety and new scurrying noises in room.

I think it's better to think of yourself as a not-so-good person who tries everyday to do right by people than to think of yourself as a good person who tries not to do wrong. To me, the former is freeing and more compatible with the human condition.

It's all fun and games with colonoscopies until you cough a bunch while under sedation, aspirate, and end up in the hospital for 3 days with pneumonia. I showed up at the ER with O2 of 77% and blue lips.
They called me a "Severely Hypoxic Woman", which is a great band name.
