.⁦@BeaconTN⁩ on 2026 #TNGov race. For historical context, more than half of voters were undecided in late 2017. That provided runway for eventual winner Bill Lee who was polling last at 4% (Black 22%, Boyd 12%, Harwell 6%). Small fraction of undecided this go-around.

Bill Morris’ bid for TN Governor was my first exposure to campaigns as a young kid. I got to spend time with him and Dr. Benjamin Hooks in his election night suite. He served Memphis and Shelby County well. dailymemphian.com/article/53475/…

Also spoke to Jack Sammons this afternoon. The Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority vice chair told me he is going to move that Memphis International Airport be renamed in honor of Fred Smith. "I actually had this done 30 years ago, and Fred told me that naming buildings was for dead people.
