@airmainengineer That fire truck just killed both pilots and forward flight attendant. All ground vehicles MUST give way to aircraft. Criminal.

UPDATE: Fatal Collision Between Air Canada CRJ-900 and Fire Truck at LaGuardia An Air Canada Express CRJ-900 arriving from Montreal collided with a fire truck on Runway 4 at LaGuardia Airport during landing. According to early reports, at least two people have been killed and around 70 others injured. Among the injured are four firefighters in critical condition, previously identified as “red tag” by FDNY responders. Images from the scene show the aircraft’s cockpit area heavily damaged, with passengers evacuating as emergency crews rushed in. A massive response is underway, with mass casualty protocols activated. The airport remains closed as authorities continue to manage the situation and investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision, including initial indications that a runway crossing clearance may have been issued to the fire unit.

is there a crypto wallet that: - works on every chain (BTC especially) - plugs in to cross chain swaps, defi protocols, perps, lending, borrowing, etc natively - built in agent support: give your agent a sub-account w/ balance - passkey first w/ private key export - available via browser extension, mobile app, and website

After over four years building THORChain, I’m starting a new chapter. I’m joining @NEARProtocol to build NEAR Intents, focusing on BD & growth. This is a conviction bet on DeFi, Privacy, AI, and the NEAR team. I couldn’t be more excited to join a strong ecosystem of builders. I think NEAR has several advantages that will help us accelerate the next wave of DeFi adoption (and far beyond) through Intents: 1) Market structure: There is no single unified marketplace. Instead, a competitive solver network sources the best price from anywhere. Competition is the edge. It’s why NEAR achieves strong price execution and continues to improve as the network grows 2) Privacy: Private transactions extend privacy to any connected asset without sacrificing self custody. Institutions and serious individuals don’t want their business to be your business. Ironically, many rely on centralized exchanges today for that privacy. We can bring that activity onchain without making everyone’s transactions public 3) Compliance: If DeFi wants broad adoption, sensible compliance is unavoidable. The challenge is doing it without compromising censorship resistance and permissionlessness. Serious actors will not come onchain unless their safety and users are protected 4) Deposit channels: This is gold standard UX. Send assets to an address and top up your onchain account. Simple & familiar, giving CEX-like parity without giving up self custody. That removes friction and accelerates adoption 5) Brand and trust: Branding is underrated infrastructure. NEAR is in the perfect position for this 6) Narrative alignment: Stablecoins as USD rails. Native Bitcoin rails. Blockchains as infrastructure. Onchain privacy. Agents transacting onchain. NEAR sits at the intersection of every major narrative that continues to gain momentum 7) AI alignment: Agents will play a growing role in everyday life. NEAR sits at the intersection of AI coordination and crypto rails. That convergence is only beginning and has yet to meaningfully play out, as the space is still very young. NEAR is an AI org at its core. 8) Builders who ship: I’ve been consistently impressed by the team’s velocity and focus on real products that improve users’ lives. Not vaporware. In the arena, trying things 9) A superset of all finance: Today the focus is crypto to crypto rails. The end state is much larger. Stocks, derivatives, forex, prediction markets, commodities, lending. Intents can become coordination infrastructure for all financial venues as they move onchain. 10) Beyond just finance: Intents are not limited to capital markets. They enable subjective requests executed by agents. Find an apartment, book a trip, sell a car, coordinate logistics. Intents as programmable infrastructure for real world coordination, not just finance. This is largely unexplored space which will grow massively in the coming years and Intents is the perfect coordination layer I still fully intend to remain a THORChain community member. That’s who I am and what I considered myself since Day 1 over five years ago and I don’t see that changing. I’m immensely proud of what we built over the last few years. I also will continue maintaining Rune Tools as the network continues to evolve. I’m infinitely grateful to those who helped me along the way, especially Chad, Gavin, and the 9R team who gave me the opportunity to work on the cutting edge. Personally, it’s very bittersweet for me and I’m sad to leave the team, but also very excited to start on a new chapter for myself. One where I think I have a major opportunity to help to accelerate DeFi, Bitcoin, AI alignment, & the principles that helped keep me in this space. Infinite thanks and gratitude to my friends and colleagues (you know who you are) I feel like I have so much more I want to accomplish and I couldn’t be more excited to be in the arena at the cutting edge of crypto rails, privacy, and AI at NEAR Much love ❤️ Tyler FamiliarCow

People talk about blockchain transparency as an abstract concept, but rarely show what it actually looks like in practice. So let us walk you through a real transaction happening on THORChain. Someone just swapped 8.99 $BTC for 611,637 $USDC, around $618,000 moving across chains in under 17 minutes. Every single detail of that trade is publicly visible to anyone on earth at this very moment, and that's not a marketing claim, that's just how the technology works. The sending wallet address, the destination address, the exact amounts in and out, the fees paid, which wallet interface was used, what that interface charged, the block it was included in, the precise second it was processed. All of it is permanently recorded on a public blockchain and traceable by anyone with an internet connection, with zero permission required to look. That last part matters more than people realise. There is no compliance department to call, no freedom of information request to file, no company deciding what data you are allowed to see. You can see in the transaction memo that @GemWallet processed this swap and charged 50 basis points for their service. That fee is written directly into the transaction instructions, on chain, visible to the entire world, not buried in a terms of service document or hidden in a backend database. This is the paradox that tends to confuse people about THORChain. The protocol is completely transparent and completely permissionless at the same time, which sounds contradictory until you think about it. Anyone can trace every swap ever executed on the network, going all the way back to the first transaction. And anyone can make a swap without asking a single person for permission, without creating an account, without submitting an ID. Traditional finance gives you neither of those things. You cannot meaningfully audit the system you're trusting with your money, and you cannot access it without jumping through increasingly complex identity verification hoops. Opacity and gatekeeping come bundled together, and you're told that's simply how financial infrastructure has to work. THORChain is the proof that it doesn't. Full transparency and no gatekeepers are not mutually exclusive. They can coexist, and on a public blockchain they do by default.

Limit orders just landed on THORChain ! CEX traders have had limit orders forever. You set your target price, walk away, come back later to find your order filled. Simple, convenient, genuinely useful. But that convenience always came bundled with everything you probably hate about centralised exchanges. You upload your passport. You hand over custody of your assets. Your $BTC sits in their database while your order is open, and you just hope nothing goes wrong in the meantime. THORChain now does the same thing, minus all of that. You submit a swap with a minimum output condition. Something like "swap my bitcoin for USDC, but only if I get at least X amount." Your funds go into a vault secured by 109 bonded node operators. Every 6 seconds, the protocol checks whether the pool price satisfies your target. When it does, your swap executes automatically, entirely on chain. If the market never reaches your price, you get refunded after a few days. No intervention needed, no support ticket, no waiting on a company to process anything. The protocol just handles it.

France 2025-2026 saw over 20 crypto-related kidnappings. Victims were tortured. Millions were stolen. The attackers didn't get lucky. They had a list. In January 2026, Waltio (a French crypto tax software) was hacked. 50,000 users exposed. Tax reports, holdings, email addresses, all leaked. Then it got worse. A French tax agent was arrested for selling confidential data on crypto holders to criminals. Lists of 5,000 French holders appeared on the dark web for $3,000. This is what happens when your identity lives in a database. Here's how the CEX model works: You submit your passport, a selfie, and proof of address. The exchange stores it (hopefully encrypted). They report your activity to the government (mandatory in most countries). They share data with "partners" for compliance. Then you wait for the breach. It's not a question of if. It's when. 2.6 billion records were leaked globally in 2025. France was hit hardest in Europe, but this is happening everywhere. Your CEX account isn't just a trading tool anymore. It's a target list with your name, address, holdings, and sometimes even family information. Everything a kidnapper needs. France leaked the most data, but every CEX database is one breach away from the same outcome. Geography doesn't protect you when your data is stored globally. THORChain doesn't have a database to leak. No KYC. No accounts. No stored identity data. You send $BTC. You receive $ETH. The protocol doesn't know who you are. It can't know. It's architecturally impossible to collect that information. THORChain can't leak what it never collected. Privacy isn't a policy decision you hope they honor. It's built into the architecture.

UPS permanently retires its fleet of 27 MD-11 aircraft and take a $137 million after-tax write off instead of returning the widebody freighters to service even if they are cleared to fly again by aviation authorities following the crash of one of its planes in early November. The announcement was made by the airline during its quarterly earnings call on Jan. 27. The accelerated retirement of all its MD-11 planes follows the deadly crash of UPS Flight 2976 in Louisville on Nov. 4. The crash, which led to the deaths of 15 people, including the three person UPS crew, is the deadliest crash in the history of UPS Airlines. "Our thoughts and prayers remain with their families, and everyone affected," UPS CEO Carol Tomé said in the company's first earnings call since the crash. "I am incredibly proud of our team at Worldport and how they responded to this accident, and I would like to thank the Louisville community, as well as our business and industry partners, for their outpouring of support."

One of the biggest problems with tokenization is that it doesn’t offer the same investors the same propriety rights and protections as traditional markets. It’s one of the reason $hype is trading at a huge discount vs Robinhood, there is no unalienable rights. You’re at the whim of the team. Harbor aims to be one of the first DEFI protocol to actually “go public” as a commodity token on chain & offer real propriety rights The result of this new model maximizes buyer access (retail + institutional via brokerages), ensuring deep liquidity pre/post-launch, maintain strict 1:1 parity while being in compliance with US regulation How? PATI is a proposed 3-step model to replace traditional TGEs for protocol tokens: 1. Public Acquisition: Protocol goes public via SPAC, reverse merger, PIPE, or IPO — creating tradable shares pre-token. 2. Token Issuance: Public company distributes tokens 1:1 to shareholders (via property dividend or foundation airdrop) under CLARITY Act safe harbor, treating token as future commodity. 3. Fusion: Convert company to ETP/SPV allowing perpetual 1:1 create/redeem between shares and tokens, arbitraging TradFi and crypto liquidity It’s exploratory, law-firm vetted but relies on CLARITY/FIT21 passing for on token-as-commodity status If regulation aligns, it’s a vastly superior distribution vs. private sales/airdrops/ICOs

Love it or hate it, but Do Kwon was the peak of crypto cinema. Nothing was the same since Terra went down in flames. I feel sorry that he got punished so hard for experimenting with technology. Fifteen years is way too harsh, but I guess the actual message is, do not try to build an alternative to the US dollar, because they will hunt you down. What we have now, USDC and USDT, are US corporations, which are entirely under the control of the political establishment.
TM@TMtheOG

Do Kwon is my forever crypto hero Idc what anyone says He was one of the best founders this space has ever had, during a time when everything was a grey area (and still is) If Trump can rug a memecoin, why should the founder of a revolutionary L1/stablecoin be in prison?

Gm $RUNE Did you know @THORChain generated around $30M in REAL YIELD in 2025?💰 - Not from inflation. - Not from printing new tokens. - ~$1.2M worth of $RUNE burned - @solana integration is very close (@raynalytics charts 👇) THORChain is one of the few DeFi projects that: - actually generates revenue - actually burns tokens - actually shares profits with users Now the best part 👇 You can earn from protocol profits by delegating $RUNE to a node via @RUNEBondApp Current: ~32% APY in REAL YIELD (not inflation, just fees from real users) No promises. Just on-chain numbers.
